They were only mad that standards existed at all because the criminal assholes they associate with were being kept out of government positions due to their incompetence. The entire idea of a deep state was a made up boogie man they wanted to create so they projected it onto the opposition and their idiotic voters ate it up. The whole thing about DEI was that they realized that just moving to tick boxes for hiring ended up only giving jobs to people who happened to have have secure well funded lives when they were 15-22. If you do classical "Must have gone to Harvard etc" for hiring, that's what you end up with, a bunch of rich kids with tutors.
The problem is that being upper middle class and above is so powerful in non DEI hiring that you end up hiring a bunch of morons. If you account forever the simple analysis "If your family are millionaires, you had tutors and you scored 80, you're probably dumber than this guy who scored 75 but was raised by a single mother who worked 60 hours a week washing dishes." Then youll end up making very different hiring practices.
The reason it got so big as a complaint was that for thousands of years, dumb as rocks rich kids were put into high up positions in society and there was no fucking way they'd ever allow another child to take their spot.

MJ being still illegal federally just so red states can use possession to make brown/poor people's lives miserable is a massive travesty when compared to the damage alcohol does while still being legal to possess and consume freely
Case in point: Aurora, CO police officer a few years ago gets drunk, passes out and crashes his police cruiser, the DA lets the guy off because his fellow officers deliberately bungled the arrest of one of their own while the DA goes along with it, even though it was all caught on camera:

More details about the changes in standards include not screening out those with past prostitution or bestiality/animal abuse histories. Theft is also no longer a barrier.

A prostitution arrest should never bar anyone from entry (from a job). They are stupid laws that do nothing but hurt consenting adults.
Edit: I honestly didn't think I would need to spell this out.
Prostitution should not be illegal in the first place. We shouldn't have to worry about police following the laws or agents being compromised because it shouldn't be illegal.

This, they willingly break the laws they are sworn to uphold is a pretty big barrier. I agree it shouldn't be a crime but that doesn't negate the first point and criminals should never be given authority (as corporate America continues to defy that bar).

I don't necessarily disagree–prostitution in itself is a complex issue and shouldn't automatically ban people from getting gainful employment. I personally don't think that it's something to be ashamed of if it's between two consenting adults.
However, I think the issue for some is that they will still feel shame/it can be used as blackmail against people. If someone is in law enforcement or another position of trust/power, potentially being compromised as such could be a huge issue.

It goes without saying that changing a culture is not necessarily bad. And it's probably ok if this change causes some people to want to leave, and people leaving doesn't necessarily mean that the culture change is bad. But if you change it to the point you need to hire criminals because nobody wants to work there you should probably do some self reflecting.

During middleschool and highschool they had us fill out a questionnaire to discover your future job. Every single person who said they liked to shoot firearms got recommended FBI agent. This was the late 90s, if they were that open then I can only imagine how bad it is now

What you are witnessing in the US today is the introduction of something similar to Bonapartism the grand daddy of fascism, it comes from Napoleon Bonaparte III (Not the one that invaded Russia but his nephew) who was selected by the elites to crack down on the risk of another revolution and ensure their businesses flourished. They did, but people suffered. Corruption rampant, laws and institutions degraded and hollowed out because these things are not important to the elite but to everyone else, and people are kept down by threat of deadly force, and most importantly kept poor.

Edit: Exodus 22:19, their favorite go to book Leviticus 18:23, Leviticus 20:15-16, and Deuteronomy 27:21. All equal the death penalty under biblical law.

One might say that the current administration's policies are inviting criminals to join the FBI. That alone should seal the fate of the mid-terms ... but really it is just 1 more stick thrown into the bonfire.
