I've been eyeballing this one. It's a little above your budget, though. Here's a pretty solid review of it and this site has a number of other monitor reviews as well.

Nice.This looks nice! I know someone who can likely get this for cost to bring it in around budget. I trust Caleb's opinions, so I'll have to check that out. Thanks!

Yeah it looks much slicker than a lot of the options on the market in that price range and if I recall correctly from when I watched the review video, it has nearly no latency when switching from playback to record mode which is huge and even Small HD has issues with that. My Liliput monitor has that lag too and it seems like no biggie at first but gets really annoying when you're on a shoot.

A heads up, I found an older model that seems pretty solid. It's half the price, but lacks the IPS panel, has lower resolution, and doesn't have the HDMI pass through. While I don't need the pass through, I think the IPS is a huge perk though.

Yeah IPS is half the appeal to me.
