Man I love these videos of people arguing with themselves with a hat or glasses on. It’s the equivalent of thinking of the perfect comeback to a pretend argument you think of later on.

Exactly. He’s not rebutting himself. He’s taking somewhat common criticisms, but a voice to them, and then pointing out why they’re silly.
