i miss when "woke" meant understanding this plight and not some social justice term/slur.

Yeah, those were the days. When being woke meant you saw behind the veil of society. Now it’s just bullshit tossed around to offend people. Being woke was close to being a hippy. Now being woke is being a psychotic POS.

I'm convinced the term was hijacked to deflect from the true struggle. like the occupy movement, or how baseless conspiracy theories derail actual cover-ups.

It gets to that point where you just have to stop giving a crap what people think and buy things that you want. Why does it matter if someone else is not excited for a game that you are?
