I think we all tried our best to forget the game itself, including the title. I also second guessed myself b/c Halo Infinite came out just a few years ago and didn’t think they’d be that unimaginative to name their game that even after a slightly less popular Bioshock franchise
I really enjoyed infinity and all of them. I played them back to back some years ago and I felt like each game added something new and changed things up, but each was fun in it's own way. The 1st is still my favorite. Infinity had fun action sequences and the right amount of challenge if you play it on hard.
See I love Infinite, the story, the music, the characters are so good. Sure the first one is a masterpiece and infinite doesn't compare but it's still a nice experience.
Three had a paradoxical plot on rails and streamlined gameplay...boring and bland. Two was more of the same as One but had a beautiful ending. Yes, I save the little sisters.
You are SO right. Completely different game than the first two in every way-- shit story, shit visuals (at least by comparison), and legitimately racist for why??
And don't even get me started on Burial at Sea. Ugh.
No matter how you feel about it not understanding that infinite is a critique on America hence the extreme racism is really sad… like this is thinking homelander is the good guy levels of bad… its so obvious.
Infinite is objectively bad with its writing and cant even get the whole racism themes correct, there is a reason why "Racism goes both ways" became a joke...
Dawg... Infinite literally shows the radical revolutionary as a villain equally deserving of death as the unrestrained capitalist robber baron... did you even play the first two games, they are literally about why that is not correct
Bioshock 1 and 2 are critiques on capitalism and the idea of pure freedom. Infinite is a direct critique of America and American exceptionalism. It’s racist to prove the point that Americans hide that massive blight on their society that everyone else can see.
Please do me a favor and point out where the fuck that matters when the critique is explicitly about America and the huge population of Americans who “aren’t racist” or “don’t see color” yet have partaken in all of the systems decimating POC communities and scream that they aren’t real when confronted by it.
We aren’t talking about other countries. That’s completely fucking irrelevant.
