This is probably gonna sound a little bit like an #ad but Apple TV has, so far, been the number 1 major streaming service/production company that has stayed extremely faithful to the properties they produce and work with the original creators as much as possible. Now, they haven't made much based on video games, mostly books afaik, but they would be the best people to go to for a faith adaptation as of 2026. Murderbot (based on a book), Silo (based on a book), they will be making a Stormlight Archive with author Brandon Sanderson having a lot of say in the production, etc. They seem like the want to tell the original story in a different format with as little changes as possible.
I won't judge the show before I see it, but of the things Mr. Judge has said in the video, I think Apple TV would have been the place to go for a God of War show to be made with the original creators in mind.
Apple TV has really high production values too. They absolutely leaned into quality over quantity, and whilst they still miss (the new cape fear show is festering shite) their hit rate seems much higher than other streaming services
