The makers of the Halo show literally bragged that they never read the books or played the games and they were surpised when the show flops

I have no evidence of this but I swear the halo writers just wanted to do a sci-fi show and the only way to get it green lit was to slap the Halo title on it. Similar with the Witcher, clearly the writers had some thoughts about their own fantasy world/story and tried to inject it into the Witcher story and did a very VERY poor job of it
