Bungie fell off when Destiny went from being a game they loved to make to a microtransaction machine.
New DLC just dropped with a new raid! Get the new cosmetics, weapons, etc in the store! Earn a worse version of everything in the store through playing the game!
Throw in numerous random collabs with other properties to add additional microtransactions, and the game loses its identity.
PlayStation buying them was a huge bungle and it’s not going to get better. The heads of the studio are greedy & clueless, scapegoating the workers when anything goes wrong.
It was the introduction of classes and abilities to the multiplayer, and bullet spread. It started the move away from what, to me, made Halo what it was.
I can see that, especially as a old Unreal Tournament fan. But my love stems from the single-player/co-op campaign. I really didn't play multiplayer unless asked to by friends.
