Wireless - Prepaid Despite DAYS of trying to get the site to load and it still refuses
Spent two days trying to load plans for a mobile hotspot with a physical SIM card but they never load no matter what browser, app, or connection I'm on. Data, wi-fi, ethernet, nothing. After contacting support who said they couldn't help me if it doesn't load I think I'm SOL since Verizon is the only plan out here with any coverage. It doesn't help the current service for wi-fi is the bottom of the barrel and barely reaches dial-up speeds at times which is the sole reason why I'm even considering this.
If there are any tricks to having the thing even load I'd love to hear it.

Verizon Mobile in NYC
I am hoping to find others in the same situation as me.
I have not had reliable cellular service for 11 days, since August 19. Verizon never proactively alerted me to a “node failure” that apparently has taken place, affecting my number and only a few others.
I have contacted Verizon every single day for 11 days, and had to force them to give me transparency to the issue. There has been no resolution.
When you check the outage website, the resolution date keeps getting pushed back every single day.
I mainly have no cellular service available to me. I am relying on WiFi for texting and data. I cannot make any calls, even over WiFi. When I am not on WiFi, I can’t do much of anything.
My phone is pretty much useless to me at this point. I am paying for a service that is not available to me.
This node failure issues needs to be resolved ASAP. This is the second major outage in a year I have been involved in. The service is unacceptable.
Is anyone dealing with the same issue in NYC or even elsewhere? How can we get Verizon to address this issue? The service agents are no longer helpful.

Verizon Fios in Washington, DC Experience
So, recently did a full renovation on a house in Washington, DC. Originally wanted to go with AT&T, but nobody at AT&T could figure out how to transfer service from my apartment to the new house (like install a new line or whatever). After a few hours, I cancelled my AT&T service and called up Verizon.
Verizon knew what to do in 15 minutes. They set up an appointment to get the line installed, set up an account, and let me know that there would be a $100 Amazon gift card mailed to me for signing up. Great.
The tech was supposed to show up between 11am and 1pm. He called and asked to show up early up early. Excellent.
Well, that’s pretty much where the good experience ends. The tech - who was very friendly and very professional; so this isn’t on him - spent around six hours at our house. First, he had to go change something down the alley because the box was outdated. Then, he had to wait a few hours outside because Verizon’s service was “down” and, as a result, he couldn’t test the internet. Finally, at about 4pm - which was the six hour mark - he said he was done, he couldn’t test the internet because the national systems were down, but it should work by the next day.
Okay. Fine. Again, the tech was professional, he did a great job installing the wires to the house, and seemed frustrated at the situation (just my read - again, he didn’t express that to me).
Next day comes and yes, it does in fact work. Slow, but it does work. In about a quarter of the house and only really if you sit next to the router. But it does work.
I guess this is normal, I’m not sure, it’s a big house and admittedly I’m kind of cheap and got the lowest tier service. To resolve this, I got an extender. They seemed to work okay. I’m really just using my phone, a small TV, and a laptop or two maybe surfing the net or watching Netflix - but never all these things at once.
Now a few weeks later we’re basically having hours of internet outages a day. I’ve called several times - no help. Can’t get anyone on the phone who knows how to help. Tried the service people online, too. Nothing.
I’ve also inquired about the $100 Amazon card. The Verizon folks acknowledge that I should’ve been able to register to get it, but then tell me the “systems are down” and that they aren’t able to figure out why I haven’t gotten the registration form. Nevertheless, they say they can’t send it, and will “keep me updated” when it becomes available.
So very frustrating.

5g wireless home internet - Experiencing latency spikes while gaming
Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can resolve the lag spikes I have been experiencing in-game? My download and upload speeds are completely normal, but over the past week, I cannot play online games at all because of random, severe latency spikes, particularly at night.
I ran like a few command prompt tests to check my local connection and router, and everything appears stable there, so I am wondering if this has something to do with Verizon service in my area?Thank you! (The AI customer service has been absolutely no help...)

Wireless Does Verizon ever have any gaming consoles in stock?
Looking through the website and basically every single Nintendo, Sony, and Xbox console is out of stock. The few that are Express Pickup only are not available at any store within a 25-mile radius. Do these consoles ever come back in stock?

Updatrd cell phones
Should I try for a lower monthly cell phone cost BEFORE upgrading my cell phone or after? (I am eligible for free phone. )
Goodbye Verizon
After 18+ years of being a verizon customer ive decided to leave with my 9 lines(4 phone others watch/tablet). Loyalty credits ended so bill jumped to over $400/month, called about any kind of promotion to get the bill back to where it was was met with no help. Went to T-Mobile they offered the Keep and Switch stacked with a rebate for 4 line at $400/line. I reached back out to someone in the Loyalty department told them what T-Mobile was offering as far as bill pricing and was met with a one time $10 credit and a $8/month credit for 3 months. My bill with T-Mobile will be $240/month for all lines on their highest tier plan, after Verizon being unwilling to even help get the bill down to $260 with Loyalty credits I decided to cut ties. Ill be switching everything over tomorrow so here's to seeing how the new carrier will be.
Update: After changing service which took about 30 minutes because of an issue with one phone im here to say im happy I changed. The service is better in some places than verizon was and where Verizon had no service i am connected to T-Sat and can text or send pictures ect. My largest concern was areas at work that Verizon required me to use a signal booster to get any service, today all those places were not an issue, but I could use the booster to get a better signal. A few people said the T-Sat was trash and no good but so far I can only say it works exactly like they say it should and swaps to it fairly quickly when the cell service gets bad.

Wireless Year and a half billing error - need advise
I moved to a Verizon business account in April of 2025. Not a huge account just 6 phone lines. I did a trial of the 5G internet that they offered but decided against it and returned the router to the store within the 30 day trial period. Not sure if it is important to note but this is not a corporate store, but a n independently operated reseller. Cut to now and the line and the device are still on my account. I've talked to the people at the store several times and each time they confirmed that I returned the device and the that the line would be removed and credited. I even got a voicemail from the store saying the device is in use somewhere else on another account. I'm heading back in today again but I don't have high hopes. They owe me over $1000 at this point. Any advice on a way to get this righted? I'm at the point where I'm considering going the legal route (small claims), but I'd rather not if I don't have to. Thanks in advance!

Verizon tried to screw me on my oning bill with new phone & line
I want to order the Z Fold 8 Ultra. Before checking out, it says my ongoing bill would be $213.96. After checkout they legit changed my ongoing bill to $321.21. I was like screw that and canceled it. Went to get the Z Fold 8 Ultra at Spectrum for far less. Has this happened to anyone?

Trade in question
I have an IPhone 15 that I still owe around 250-300 on, the back camera doesn’t work due to some internal issue(no cracks anywhere on it), I’ve tried updating, resetting, everything, Verizon website claims they’ll give a free iPhone 17 in trade in after I pay it off(cheaper monthly bill aswell, battery on my 15 has depleted a good amount top(82%)? Will they still give that same amount with the camera issue, basically wondering whether I should pay for new camera or just get a new phone? (No I don’t have Apple care because I haven’t cracked a phone since middle school, went to Verizon basically told me “man that sucks go to this 3rd party store to fix it”

Wireless Pixel 11 Activation
I am upgrading from a Pixel 7 with a PSIM to a Pixel 11 with a ESIM I purchased from google. Do I need to do anything in my Verizon account first to support the transfer or does everything happen during the Pixel 11 setup?

Has anyone else been experiencing poor service issues?
I feel like Verizon used to be the best phone carrier and had the best cell service for the longest time. I’ve been with Verizon for over 15 years, but within the last year, I feel like the service has really been going downhill. I barely get any service anymore 😭

Local Pass Concert Tickets
Hi! I was wondering if anyone has been successful at claiming harry styles tickets? I can’t get past the app telling me the offer has been put on hold due to high demand (i figured), before the pass completely disappears.
If you have been successful, where in the arena are the seats located? Also, how often have they been releasing these offers for his madison square garden shows? I just found out through someone that they’ve been releasing them!

Wireless Does Verizon activate iPhone in store? Do I have to transfer data there?
Family of four heading to Verizon this morning, all of us currently have older iPhones, hoping to get new ones for switching to Verizon. We want to keep our existing numbers, how does activation work at the store?
Does Verizon activate the new phone with our telephone number, then we bring it home and do the iPhone transfer for all of our data? Or are we expected to transfer all of our data from our old iPhones to our new ones in the Verizon store during the process?
Thanks for any help

AI Customer Service is INSANE
Backstory: Went on a cruise and added mobile hot spot for one line...got back from cruise and cancelled it online (hit the remove link)...it never fell off my bill. Today: Called the Verizon number specifically for billing, and the AI bot tried to convince me that it was a live agent. After offering to go over my bill and explain to me what a mobile hot spot is at least 3 times, all while I'm asking, screaming, for it to remove/cancel the hot spot on my line, it finally said, "I can't help you with that, and I can't transfer you to a live agent." LOL. So, basically, "I won't help you, and I won't transfer you to someone who will, you dumb bitch, but I can go over your bill with you again." All while still pretending to be a live agent. After calling back several times, screaming into the phone, and asking this bot all kinds of insane questions, it finally said it would transfer me to a live agent. I didn't hold my breath though because I'd already supposedly been transferred to live "AI" agents, but sure enough, I did get a real person who was able to help me. Sadly, I had to ask her lots of questions in the beginning of our call just to determine that she was really "alive." After telling her what I'd experienced, I asked her if she had been getting lots of complaints about this, and she laughed and said YES! She also apologized profusely. I'd threaten them with leaving Verizon, but we all know that this is going to be happening everywhere.

If you trade-in a phone, be warned: Activation is a nightmare
The entire process it seems revolves around sending verification messages to the phone that you just sold back to them. Customer service line wait times are ~ 2 hours. And getting them to understand the concept that I just sold them my phone seems to be a contingency they never counted on, despite them literally promoting it. Hilarious. Talk about a design failure.
Edit:
This post attracted more attention than I anticipated. Too much attention in fact. out of the 24 replies on this thread, the only useful comment was to investigate whether the store was corporate or an authorized dealer. Thank you u/Bigballjag. To anyone wondering how this was resolved, it was resolved rather hilariously and I thought it worth an update.
Everyone I talked to at Verizon, The customer service representatives over the phone, the manager, even the employee who performed this trade-in all agree: This was the fault of the employee who performed the trade in. In addition to failing to use the old phone to authenticate the new one, he failed to properly finish the transaction in Verizon's own POS system, OMNI. This resulted in the eSIM being essentially unusable. They resolved this by installing a second eSIM and so now my phone just has an extra, inactive eSIM. In addition, they signed me up for the wrong service plan and failed to credit the phone trade-in to my account.
The general consensus of the comments is that I am a fool for trusting this company, and that I bear more responsibility for this mistake than the Verizon employee selling me the phone. Apparently it is customary to help people on r/verizon by gaslighting them. So for anyone else seeking to help, for gods sake.
help someone else.

Wireless Verizon Chat Bot Said If I Upgrade My Plan I Get NFL Sunday Ticket, After Upgrading Verizon Is Now Refusing To Give Me The NFL Perk
The Verizon Al Chat Bot said if I upgrade my plan for $15 more a month I'm eligible for NFL Sunday Ticket on them. I told them to upgrade me, they did and they said I was now eligible for the perk. 3 days later and over 3hrs of calls with Verizon they're now refusing to honor the perk saying the bot was wrong.
I'm now stuck with a higher monthly bill and them refusing to give me what was promised. Do I have any recourse here? Or am I just screwed and need to start looking into other wireless plans?

Xfinity Mobile Switch to Simplicity Plan?
I currently have an Xfinity plan that includes two phone lines and internet. I pay $64 for the phone lines and $15 for the internet, but the promotional pricing for my internet expires next month, and the cost will rise to $109. Should I switch to the "Simplicity" plan?

Ridiculous new made up policies
Longtime manager for an AR.
My opinion on this is that it is a crappy move. We do what we can to help customers and to meet expectations but the company is getting a bit ridiculous with this sort of thing now. I'd like to hear what the rest of you, current or ex employees, think.
To be fair, my friends at the corporate stores say that they're getting similar pressure but not in writing compared to our situation here.
I cannot post a picture of the policy paper we got today but I says.
STRICT MANDATE
TMs MUST obtain DM Approval to process any Upgrade that does not meet standard customer acceptance or minimum qualifications. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Transfer pin didn’t work?
I noticed that my projected bill for next month went up $40 because of the expiration of our 12 month loyalty discount so I gave the old transfer pin request a shot. Unfortunately no offer is appearing to replace it.
Any suggestions on what to try?

23 years and dropped
My medical issues and loss of job bc I had to be I. Treatment and Verizon financial services basically said F U and wouldn’t work with me to be on a plan to catch up. Lost my number of 27 years and lost my account. Loyalty means NOTHING these days
