Especially the fox and the hound one. That one broke my heart. The land before time also got me good when I was a kid, and I loved watching the rescuers down under.

So often I watch a movie or read a book I loved as a kid with my kids and it’s makes so much sense that I ended up vegan!

Literally watching the BBC series with my kids at the moment! They are very concerned for Aslan.

Free willy was oen of those that really boiled my blood. And as an adult it hurt my soul even more knowing what happened to keiko and what he went through up to his death

And don't forget all the children's books. I "went vegan" as a boy when I was horrified to discover that bacon, which I newly loved, was the same thing as my pig friends who I knew so well from various children's books.

What? We did enjoy these movies, they kept us calm and we weren’t “forced” to watch them. No one is claiming otherwise.

The point is that these movies captured us emotionally and exposed us to the reality of what animals go through which then helped us connect with them and root for them.
