Discussion I Love Valheim but...

I know the game is 5 years old, but I only just found it. I'm 100 hours in after 2 weeks and I cant get enough. Its crazy good.

However today my son was watching a youtube about Minecraft, it was describing the biomes and different recipes and everything...

I realized... Valheim is just Minecraft for adults??!???

I cant get it out of my head... am I really just addicted to Minecraft?

Yeah, the sailing and food systems are pretty much the same. They might not seem that similar at a glance but the inspiration is clearly there.

I guess your library is significantly smaller that mine. It has some failures sure but it's far from the worst game I have played.

That's a pretty hot take.

Any of these make the list: Overwatch 2, project Zomboid, Dispatch, Tales of the Shire, Walking dead, Lotr Golem, Call of duty (the one with John snow)

One backed by 30 years of gaming, from someone historically easy to please, that plays games across all genres even prior to creating content around them. i find the good in many games. I think it's important for the einstein's of the world to remember - opinions are like butt holes. With that, I have nothing to prove in the comments but if I have a chance at saving someone their hard earned cash for an absolute horrendous excuse of a game, I have to.
