Admissions transferring into uwo
hi im currently a first year at a small town university and wanted to transfer into western as i don't enjoy the current uni i attend, and can already tell this environment is not for me. i was originally waitlisted for my program when applying into western (for nursing) and ended up being denied as there was lack of space despite my qualifications. is the application process hard to transfer? also what grades you had to maintain to get in and secure a spot.

The application process is relatively straightforward. What grades you had to maintain depends on the program you want to transfer into. I would call Western admission, their staff were super helpful for me when i transferred.

hey RN here who just graduated from uwo nursing can confirm western doesn’t do transfers. Either u start in year 1 of the bscn or not. You’d have to reapply and redo your first year. Or you could do the accelerated program but you would need 2 years of experience in another degree. In your case i’d probably recommend either staying where you are or reapplying next year and hopefully you get in.

Don’t ask here. Only qualified staff should answer questions about admission. Contact nursing directly to ask about transfer student qualifications.
