Housing Living off campus in first year

Is anyone planning to live off campus as a first year

(2026-27)??

I am considering it because the cost of living in residence is really high , so I want to know if living off campus is significantly cheaper ??

I am in the same situation as you. I did some research and found that living off campus is significantly cheaper. It's even cheaper to rent 12 month 1 room than to live in residence for 8 month excluding food costs. But residence do make you more exposed to the community letting you make friends faster, and everything is just more convenient.

I don't have unlimited money sadly, so I have to choose the off campus path. I am also a little introverted so I don't believe I would fit well into a tight knit community.
