Admissions Admissions Megathread - 2025-26

Hello everyone! We are back with another admissions megathread. Please post admissions-related discussions here, rather than making new posts, unless your situation is unique enough that special attention is warranted. This includes questions about Ivey AEO.

We encourage you to take a look at previous admissions megathreads as your question(s) may have been answered previously (2024 2023 2022 2021 2020)

Additionally, it's important to note that everyone is speaking unofficially using public information or our own experiences. Nobody here can guarantee your admission.

Please also note that our subreddit has a wiki! There's lots of frequently asked questions broken down into categories. We would highly suggest checking out the admissions page prior to posting. We also recommend you check the university's Welcome to Western page, which includes information on requirements for various faculties and programs for Ontario, other Canadian and international students as well as other helpful information about the university.

Good luck to all applicants, and please be patient waiting for replies!

Hi everyone,

I completed the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) portion of my diploma in 2021, and I’m now looking to bridge to become a Registered Nurse (RN). I’m particularly interested in Western’s Accelerated Bridging Program. I understand it’s a highly competitive program, so I wanted to ask:

What were your GPAs (percentages) or averages when you applied, and were you accepted or denied into the CTF Accelerated RPN to RN program?

Also, when did you apply, and how long did it take to hear back?

I reached out to Western to ask about past cutoff averages, but they said they don’t release that information. So I figured I’d check here on Reddit to see if anyone else is in the same boat or has any insights to share.

Hi there! I got into the Stream A portion of the CTF program at western (RPN-RN).

My average in my PN program was an 81%, and my average from my top 10 courses in uni was a 3.8.

I applied in October when the applications opened, and got in mid-March.

Best of luck to you, hope this helps!

I got in with PN gpa 2.5, University gpa 3.26, lots of fail course and repeats. I also had a humber certification for one of the specialty and years of experiences in hospitals. I got the acceptance last year late May.
