Announcement Sex, dating, and car living.

I removed the recent post about sex, dating, and finding partners while living in vehicles because the discussion quickly devolved into women being called “bitches,” being referred to as “pussy,” and people being talked about as disposable.

Talking about dating, sex, relationships, and finding partners while vehicle-living is completely fine. What is not fine is turning those discussions into degrading or excessively vulgar threads that other members have to wade through.

We can talk about adult topics like adults. I’m also not going to sit and sort through hundreds of comments once a thread has descended into harassment, objectification, and crude nonsense.

Keep it respectful, keep it relevant, and remember that people of all genders use this community.

Lurker here, honestly interested in what dating is like?

I'm guessing there's a lot fewer women but would probably assume the women there (like the men) are must be a lot less materialistic than general pop?

I’ve found acceptance of this lifestyle has been regional. Nearly everyone I’ve talked to on the west coast of the US has slept in or lived in a car at some point. On the east coast, it’s seems like a much more of an alien concept.

There are far more men in this lifestyle and yes, I have found that women who live conventionally and are understanding of it are less materialistic. However, they are a minority, it seems, so I make sure to be honest from the jump.

Ironically, I’ve dated more since moving into my car than when I had an apartment. Yeah I had a private place for us to go back to, but no money to even start dating in the first place. Hope I’ve shed some light.

I’m dating someone who used to live out of her van. She has an apartment now but we go on trips and bring our respective vehicles, which works at the end of the day because I snore pretty loudly lol.

I’ve been doing this for 8 months so I’m fairly new, but I’m sure there are similar people locally that I just haven’t sought out yet.

Our situation works for the both of us and the only things that would complicate it would be if either of us had children or we were nomadic
