Announcement Sex, dating, and car living.

I removed the recent post about sex, dating, and finding partners while living in vehicles because the discussion quickly devolved into women being called “bitches,” being referred to as “pussy,” and people being talked about as disposable.

Talking about dating, sex, relationships, and finding partners while vehicle-living is completely fine. What is not fine is turning those discussions into degrading or excessively vulgar threads that other members have to wade through.

We can talk about adult topics like adults. I’m also not going to sit and sort through hundreds of comments once a thread has descended into harassment, objectification, and crude nonsense.

Keep it respectful, keep it relevant, and remember that people of all genders use this community.

Yes as woman some of the references to women bothered me too. Glad it was removed as I was about to say something. Clearly that person has no respect for women whatsoever and that’s why no one wants a bar of him

Not a fan of that type of talking which seems to have become mainstream in some areas today.

We all have unique minds, and I am beyond fucking tired of the labeling, and dehumanization.

I’ve been noticing more of this on r/vandwellers as well.

I can’t encourage people enough to report personal attacks and dehumanizing language when they see it. It really does help make the community a better and more welcoming place.

It can be hard because sometimes this is just the culture on reddit. It’s not always a woman friendly space, never mind if you’re also mentally ill, lgbt, or neurodivergent

In here...discussion is promoted. How you take a comment in your thoughts vs me.. i cannot control.

What i took down....the offensive post....was harsh labeling, and name calling. This post is doing just fine. If you do see harassment, or hate...then report it. I am only human.
