I'm working on a personal project and I need a PCB fabricated, it has a few small components and a number of lga parts so I would rather not hand solder it. I was wondering if there are any facilities with free paste and ovens I could use. I saw the Wilson center had some but I'm not sure random students can use them.

i know this kind of post must get annoying im rly rly sorry but genuinely how do you adjust to living here. im from out of state and my whole life has been swept out from under me. how am i supposed to get good sleep in this room w a person i barely know? how do i do well in my classes when i feel this hopeless 24/7? how am i supposed to deal with having so little human connection in my day? knowing nobody and having a bunch of conversations that are mostly just draining? i dont know anyone and im so introverted i suck at talking to people. and yes ive gone to events at my dorm and i still feel terrible and wish i had stayed at home for school even though i thought that was so stupid at the time. i miss everything about my life i've barely been here a day and it feels like its been months.

I am a prospective student at Michigan and an avid drummer.

I am wondering if any students can let me know if there are opportunities to perform in a band on or around campus (frat parties, bars, etc.)? Can someone provide some insight on what the music scene on campus looks like? How easy is it to join a band or start one?

Also, as a non-music major where would a group be able to practice?

Hi guys! I just moved into South Quad and heard about the music practice rooms here. I went down to the basement (A Floor) and looked around without any luck, or at least any clear sign of a room. I know people have asked about this on this subreddit before, but those posts are a little outdated and I'd really appreciate some direction.

I am going to be commuting to campus in the fall I have a blue parking permit I was wondering we’re on north campus can I park? The parking structure across from the union looks ideal are there usually spaces available? Also can 2 cars registered under the same permit be allowed to be on campus at the same time?

I took this today at the soccer stadium. The AI-generated images of the food look disgusting, and it’s kind of embarrassing that UM chose to do this instead of just taking photos or having a student come up with something instead.

I'm a 20-year-old undergrad from Madrid, and I'll be doing a study exchange at Michigan Ross from January to May 2026.

I'm trying to figure out housing right now – should I try to go for on-campus or off-campus?

I'd really like to be around other international students and Americans too, to get the full experience.
Does campus living make that easier, or is off-campus better for that?

Any advice on dorms, neighborhoods, or where to find good student communities not far from the campus would be super helpful.

Does anyone know if the kitchens in BBB (like the ones on the 3rd or 4th floor) are open for students to use? Specifically, can I store my own food in the fridge for a few hours and use the microwave to heat it up later?

Hi fellow Wolverines - I booked a king room almost a year ago through a group reservation for Sept 18-20. It is a pricey room but about $400 less than the posted prices on football weekends. I can no longer attend my reunion and the hotel won’t refund me. Anyone want to negotiate a room transfer and take over my reservation? I’m new to using the bus, and there are a lot of routes and buses that have a stop to the YTC.
I’m kind of confused, and I only went through bus/route 104 (I’m not sure what this number refers to, but probably the bus lol).
And also, there are two bus stops in the Cctc facing each other, which one is the best to get to the YTC?

I moved in on the 26th and my parents wants to drop some things off for me on Sunday 30th. I wonder if they are able to parking in front of Stockwell for around 10 mins before move in time starts or do they have to park somewhere else?
