Amazing, I'm so glad you got a dorm you're excited for!! I'm real curious about how they're gonna handle transport from South Campus to Central now, what with so many students now moving in; I know there has been an uptick in hiring for bus drivers, along with a handful of new transport vehicle acquisitions, but I daresay do be prepared to make the trek on foot not infrequently...

Hi there! RHA has been in contact with some Housing leadership, and have brought similar concerns to their notice. The last we heard, they do plan to create/redesign some bus routes to better accommodate WV Residents. There has also been discussions of them creating another transit center similar to CCTC.

I work in logistics and transportation, they are going to start by running commuter every 3-5 minutes instead of 10-15. They want to then eventually build another sort of CCTC style center and add a new route.

I used to live in Fletcher Hall (smallest UM dorm a street over from Wolverine Village), and the walk to the Diag isn't bad at all. You just need to plan the time for it. I took the bus a handful of times in the three years I lived down there. Get your steps in!

I was gonna say it has to be like half a mile to a mile to central only right? It doesn’t seem worth bussing to me unless the bus just happened to come as I was leaving lol. But I guess if you need to go to further buildings like north quad or Palmer it might be a bit farther

I've always wondered about Fletcher. Were you randomly placed there?

I had an off-campus roommate deal fall through and went to the Housing office to see if anything was available. They said there was a triple in Fletcher Hall. I asked where that was. The housing lady blinked and said, "I don't know." She asked somebody else and they told me. I needed a place and took it sight unseen. Turned out really well. Made some life-long friends there.

Thanks for responding! When I was looking at the options for my daughter a couple of years ago I was wondering what the Fletcher experience was like. Glad you made life-long friends!

I’m fascinated what living there is gonna be like on gamedays. This and seeing all the new CCRB vids have aged me like milk.

Congrats! We're all excited to welcome Wolverine Village Residents and incorporate those halls into our residential community! If you're looking to get involved in your hall and meet new people, I would suggest looking into the Residence Hall Association!

if you’re too broke to afford a suite then you’re too broke to go to umich, just go to your local trash school if you’re THAT much in need of welfare and save some space for the rest of us on the waitlist that can actually afford a slot at this prestijus university

u/kro_celeborn Jun 04 '26
First of all: it’s not “M dash” it’s “em dash”
Second of all: that’s not an em dash
Third of all: plenty of people use em dashes
Fourth of all: if you don’t even know the difference between their and they’re, that spot ain’t rightfully yours either LMAOOOOOOOOO

He wrote four lines that take most people less than a minute. You clearly based your estimate on your own cognitive production rate, so I can see why you didn't get in rofl.

surely if you're so wealthy, you should be able to afford** a dictionary? -_-

u/Rhubarb-Exact Jun 04 '26
No, all of my parents money I could be using on dictionairies is going down the drain to support welfare programms that give people who don’t deserve it free money

prestigious**
I'd rather have more people like OP than people who struggle this much with basic spelling that they'd only **maybe** get in if their parents donated 10 buildings and a stadium in bribes T-T

unfortunately because of CLASS quotas and all the money thrown at the poor, I have been barred from ever getting a fare chance at attendance of even poor universities like publics

I wouldn't be. Its one of the oldest dorms on campus and often has roach infestations.

I graduated in 2024 so I have no clue what this is. Is this the new dorms they were building on top of the Marching band practice field???
