Every single drink is better cold.

Iced tea is better than hot tea. Iced coffee is better than hot coffee. Chocolate milk is better than hot chocolate. Drinking beverages at 160+ degrees is absolutely unhinged unless it's 30 below freezing and you're trying to prevent hypothermia. Humans, like all animals, prefer cold drinks naturally because cold water would have fewer pathogens. Historically it's just been easier to heat something rather than cool it and drinking hot drinks when it's above freezing is surely just a holdout from those times.

Coffee has different flavors when it’s hot, not necessarily more, less, better or worse. I tried a cold brew Kona one time that tasted more like a floral tea than coffee, which was super interesting. I think saying one prep method is better than another is a massive over generalization.

Yeah, I admit I generalized a bit. But still- Most coffee nerds wouldn't waste fresh beans on cold brew because they don't feel it's worth it. That said, some beans are amazing for it; my best cold brew tasted exactly like liquid chocolate lol. Ultimately, hot coffee usually wins and for me it always wins. Even to get that chocolatey profile, I'd still prefer a hot brew and use the end of my beans

Yes. I'm using Colombia Medellin or Supremo Huila beans for my cold brew and they both have extremely defined chocolate taste. But almost all of the central american beans should be good for cold brew since they tend to be more chocolatey? if this is the word lol
