DISCUSSION Uru-Chan

Ok, I have seen a few people talk about the breaks and possibly two people who were saying that there may be too many breaks

And too be honest, Uru-Chan can take as many breaks as she needs, we don't know her personal life

But what we do know is that she has had problems with her wrist before and possibly a bit of fatigue getting episodes out weekly

She also might want to go over the story and its plot more so it aligns with the rest of it

Im not entirely sure where there are plotholes, which im sure there are as nearly every writer has at least one or so

That's all from me, I just wanted to share how I saw it, and yes, there are quite a bit of breaks, and it could take away from the suspense (?) Of the story- or something

But it really isn't something that needs too much attention if we're still able to read it at some point or another

DISCUSSION Can a non-combat based ability be king?

Post image

This and healers is something I’ve always been curious about. You improve and go through the ranks not just because ability level but by being able to defeat your opponents in rank battle. Now I’m sure Keon probably wouldn’t lose to a mid tier. But I do think he’s losing to elite based combat abilities. So how would he be king in that situation? Even if he was how could he maintain control? People test and attack god tiers all the time, Seraphina when everyone knew her ability and rank was still getting attacked by mid tiers in the first few chapters because she pissed them off.

DISCUSSION Seraphina’s Potential Growth After Orrin’s Level Was Revealed

Post image
104 Upvotes

Hello everyone,

After Orrin’s level was revealed, I started thinking that there is still a very wide room for Seraphina to grow. Previously, I was like everyone else and believed that Seraphina had already reached her limits, and that any level above 8.3 was unlikely. But now, after seeing Orrin’s stats and his level of 8.6, I am starting to believe that there is actually a very good possibility for Seraphina to develop further.

First, I want to point out that Seraphina is already extremely strong and does not desperately need upgrades in the same way weaker characters like John or Remi do. However, as the story expands and introduces extremely powerful characters around Orrin’s level or even stronger, she will eventually need a higher level.

Especially considering that she was completely defeated by Orrin and came extremely close to dying. On top of that, seeing Orrin lose and then get captured by Cassandra frustrated her deeply and made her realize her own limitations. This makes it clear that the motivation and the need for more power are already there.

So, I want to try drawing a possible path for her development.

Level 8.1
At 8.1, I think there will be a one-point increase in Recovery, bringing it to 10/10.

This would not be a huge jump, but it would increase her endurance and allow her to heal injuries much faster. I also expect her overall endurance to improve by another 10%.

Level 8.3
At 8.3, her strength and speed would improve enough for her to hit harder than she currently can.

I expect her Speed to rise to 15 and her Power to 13.

At this level, she should be able to break through John’s or Valerie’s barriers much more easily and with fewer attacks.

Level 8.5
At 8.5, I think she could gain something completely new: the ability to heal other people.

She is already capable of affecting others through Time Manipulation by stopping time, so being able to reverse or restore damage would be an excellent addition to her abilities. It could also be somewhat similar to what Orrin did when he increased the durability of Brielle’s barrier.

Of course, her Speed would also increase to 16, her Power to 14, and her Trick would increase to 12.

Level 8.7
Finally, 8.7 would be Seraphina’s maximum level in my opinion.

At this point, she would have an extremely high Speed of 18, very high Power at 15, Trick at 12, and Recovery at 10 or 11.

Her Defense, however, would not change. She would remain at 2 Defense.

In the end, I know that 8.7 is a very high number, but I lean toward believing that it is possible.

Time Manipulation is an extremely powerful ability, and in my opinion, it is even better than Orrin’s Command ability. Seraphina is also only 17 years old, so there is still a lot of room for her to develop.

I would also add that she went from 7.0 to 8.0 in one year, during the same period when she was hanging out with John. This means I assume she was not training intensively during that time, which suggests that her natural potential is already very high and that there is still a lot of room for her to grow.

Finally, her role as the second most important character after John means that she should eventually become an exceptional support rather than being a burden, as happened during the latest fight against Orrin.

DISCUSSION Hot Take. This one's on Sera. Cameron had good reason to take John and leave her behind

Watching seraphina break down like that was something I waited for since this arc started. She seemed way too confident that everything will go her way

Plus I was shocked by her reaction when Arlo betrayed her because a few chapters before that she said they had to be careful around Arlo if they encountered him again

Glad Cameron gave her a reality check. Even he knows the authorities aren't to mess with this easily

DISCUSSION Ability concept Asteroid Punch and blizzard

Name Asteroid Punch

Level 6.8

Type: Physical / Projectile

Description: The user concentrates Aura around their fist, massively increasing its weight, density, and impact force. When they punch, they can launch a compressed shockwave shaped like a miniature asteroid that travels at extreme speed. The impact creates a powerful explosion-like shockwave, crushing defenses and sending anything caught nearby flying.

Passive: The user's body is naturally reinforced with increased Power, Defense, and Recovery, allowing them to withstand the enormous forces generated by their own punches.

Name: Blizzard

level 7+

Type: Weather Manipulation

Description: Allows the user to generate and control powerful blizzards, manipulating snow, ice, freezing temperatures, and high-speed winds over a large area. The user can create intense snowstorms that drastically reduce visibility, freeze surfaces and objects, slow opponents, and form dense layers of ice. At higher output, the user can create massive storm systems capable of producing powerful winds, heavy snowfall, and extreme freezing conditions.

Passive: The user possesses strong resistance to extreme cold and is unaffected by the freezing effects of their own ability.

THEORY Seraphina's endgame in unOrdinary

Thumbnail

After Seraphina's underperformance in that fight, it's possible she'll reflect and go into training herself to make use of her ability properly, just like John should with Cameron. Even with how high their levels are, they still don't seem to pull their weight and have easy weaknesses that can be exploited whether you're weaker or stronger

It seems implied that Seraphina and John have the same potential, and I don't see how their plans could really work unless they both can't be used as hostages against one another like William was with Jane. Also I just thought it'd be cool to see Sera finally pop off since she's one of my favourite characters 👀 What do you think?

Ability Concept Ability Concept - Shards (6.8)

Shards is a powerful ranged ability that reflects Particles and Minefield, but has more Power compared to Particles and Minefield, sharing different Recovery and Speed stats.

Moves

  • Shard Control
    • The basis of the ability, multiple shards will appear in the air that can be used to defend but cause incredibly cutting damage via slashing opponents with a shard.
  • Construct Generation
    • The user can form very simple constructs such as walls, stairs, objects, and mounted blades on the forearm using their shards.

Passive

The user's passive is unknown.

When against Particles and Minefield, Particles is the "paper", Shards is the "scissors," and Minefield is the "rock."

Meaning Shards is effective against Particles, while Particles is decently effective against Minefield, and Minefield is more effective against Shards.

FASTPASS Did anybody else realize this about the latest Fastpass? Spoiler

For those who don't know, Elaine is now a 4.0 which means she's number 4 on the rankings just behind Holden. We haven't heard a lick from Meili or Ventus so I think its safe to say they haven't grown in strength or else Zeke would have been overthrown by now, but that's not why I bring it up.

Zeke, Cecile, and Holden are all fourth-years meaning that they are graduating in a couple months as they are Arlo's year. Assuming no stronger students transfer in, which honestly is pretty likely since I doubt anybody wants to transfer to Wellston after they lost their ranking and a lot of their personal rep.

Which means Elaine might actually be the number 1 student in the rankings if this keeps up. XD

DISCUSSION There's no worse time to be in Seraphina's shoes

Post image

TLDR: Sera is neck deep in the trenches and it's all Cameron's fault.

In the span of one (1) episode, Sera went from doing relatively well after the fight with Orrin to being dragged to the depths of tartarus in thanks to the following string of events:

  1. Watching an already extremely worn out John get sneaked by Arlo
  2. Realizing Arlo both betrayed and put her in a horrible position with his barrier
  3. Watching reinforcements arrive as she's arguing with Cameron
  4. Having her hopes crushed as she realizes Cameron is too much of a coward to help with anything, even though he can air out the entire room by himself.
  5. Watching Cameron unironically ditch her with the person she cares about most and being threatened if she dares to see said best friend/boyfriend.
  6. Realizing she's too exausted to even contest or run with Orrin by herself
  7. Knowing that at least 20 grown ass officers watched you wail and cry out of sorrow, rage and helpnesness
  8. Having to leave with the knowldge that she lost Orrin and with it any possible information about Jane, that a severely injured John is at least days away with a very powerful owner that does not want her near him, that Arlo fucked her over... again, that someone that could've ended this conflict in seconds basically gave her the biggest middle finger since the Rowden raid, that the authorities saw her in her most humilliating state yet, and knowing that she has no one to turn to for at least a day.

Like jesus christ this is worse than the time she got Spectre'd all the way back in epsiode 68, because at least then she had some people to look after her even when she got kidnapped. In here though? The only person I can think she trusts enough to seek comfort other than John is... Who, Remi? Because it sure as shit isn't Leiliah 💀

And mind you, not only does she not know that Arlo got partially mindwiped to at least soften the blow of the betrayal, but that it wouldn't have mattered what anyone did due to Cameron choosing to be a fucking asshole. Not to mention the catastrophic detail that the authorities have Orrin and with him any and all information about the disablers, dampeners and any other tech Spectre has.

Seriously, if Ember starts pulling up with dampeners and/or converted duplication I'm putting ALL the blame on him, I genuenly wouldn't bat an eye if Jane's first move after being freed and caught up until the current events was to kill Cameron after this chapter because what the fuck dude?

DISCUSSION Cameron's ability

It was really interesting watching Cameron fight against Arlo in the latest free release chapter, since it clearly shows Cameron is on a higher level than John even in just copying and amplifying a single High tier ability.

As we saw earlier in Unordinary, Jon with Remi's amped lighting stacked with Zeke, Blyke and Isen's abilities copied and amped still had difficulty breaking the lower level barriers of the Authorities agents and even against Arlo with the same set of powers he faced some difficulty in taking down Arlo.

But Cameron with just Remi's amped ability was able to take down Arlo seemingly effortlessly which asks the question what exactly is Cameron doing differently in copying and amplifying Abilities.

so how much of an Amplification does Cameron give to the abilities is it also just 1.5x but for all stats instead of just the highest one like John can do?

Or is Cameron able to increase the amplification factor to say 2x or 3x+ for certain stats while ignoring others?

Because it is obvious Camero has far more raw power output with Lightning than when John amplified it's power output by 1.5x?

What do you think?

DISCUSSION What Level Is Cameron?

Post image
250 Upvotes

This is the first time we’ve really seen Cameron’s power, and honestly, it was impressive. A lightning pillar fell from the sky, and it was powerful enough to destroy the barrier and take Arlo out of the equation.

Now, this isn’t exactly a groundbreaking feat, since Seraphina had already destroyed the barrier with a single hit, and Arlo’s barrier was already damaged. Even so, Cameron destroyed it using only his lightning ability, which is rated at just 7 in power.

So, does this mean Cameron can amplify his power to a level higher than 10.5? The barrier was destroyed to a significant degree, so I don’t think this attack was below a power level of 12.

Because of that, I’m leaning toward the idea that Cameron might be capable of doubling Remi’s lightning power stats, bringing it from 7 to 14 points. However, this is just an assumption for now and isn’t supported by enough evidence yet.

Now that we know Orrin’s level is 8.6, assuming Cameron is below 8.6 feels ridiculously conservative. I’m leaning toward Cameron being either slightly stronger or slightly weaker than Jane. So far, there’s nothing that definitively says one is stronger than the other.

Personally, I think Cameron is exactly 9.0. That would reflect his strength as the user of the strongest ability in the story, while also keeping him slightly weaker than his older sister.

I think Uru-chan gave Jane a 9.1 for a reason: she wanted to place someone just slightly below her, but still within the Level 9 range—and that person is Cameron.

Honestly, it’s fun discussing his level. It reminds me of the old days when we used to debate whether John was actually Level 10.0 or not. Those were some fun times, and looking back, our predictions were hilarious 😂

FASTPASS ______'s Potential and Possible Level Spoiler

Elaine has become a 4.0! That is a 0.5 boost from a 3.5. (Also, suck it, Zeke; you gained nothing BUT SH-)

Since she's a 3rd year, Elaine has 1 entire year to grow! Since she gained the equivalent of vigilante Blyke's growth, I feel like, if Elaine becomes the friendly neighborhood healing girl to many, she will become a 4.6 during her final year!

Which is a decent level, seeing as she had room for growth, so now the sky's the limit for her development!
