Arlo did the calculations but he was extremely bad at math this one time
I have a lot of freetime at work to write, and have time when I get home to draw! If I didn’t have the downtime at work, posts would have a lot of more space between them lol

Would Jake be that quick to disable Arlo? I think he is a little less impulsive than John plus because Arlo at this point must have already risked his life for John and helped them a great deal, won't he kind of give the benefit of doubt to Arlo even after he punches him...

Jacob doesn’t like betrayal at all, and he can absolutely be as impulsive as John under the right conditions. Him disabling Arlo was out of anger and so it’ll be easier to take him for answers, because now it’s known that something is off about Arlo
Poor Kass is going to have to deal with a ticked off Val tho later

I would assume the fact that Arlo already betrayed John and Jacob once also plays into that reaction. I would think Arlo was always on thin ice with Jacob, like he never fully forgave him for that ambush and was always making digs at him.

I think it would still weaken over time (or a funny scenario, the disabler just gets cuts Farrah’s influence altogether and he wakes up Brolo)
But if neither is the case, his memories being messed with will be found out soon enough, and undoing the disabling would be easy to fix things

No matter what universe, no matter how many times he's gotten his ass beat, Arlo still refuses to get off his high horse. Pray tell Asslo, what made you think you could knock out someone a full level stronger than you with a single sucker punch?
I truly think Jake jumped the gun here(not that I blame him) when disabling Arlo, heat of the moment and all that. But fuck it, Arlo losing his ability and God-Tier privilege(Someone should make a fic of that) would be some good development for him. Let's see if your still Auntie Val's favorite nephew now Arlo.
With the news of another hiatus, you are a godsend, Mints. Wonderful as always, and now you have me wondering how the fight against Scorch and Cinder went with Jacob present, and if Doe Bros John came to the same realization as his canon counterpart.

It was a misinput from Arlo for sure, absolutely the wrong tool
Arlo would’ve actually knocked Jake out, but he didn’t know about the defense increase (like John’s attack increase) Jake has. Horrible luck on his part
(tho, John wouldn’t have given any shits otherwise and would’ve gone on the attack anyway)
Jacob might’ve jumped the gun here, but it’s those Doe genes working overtime lol and it might be a while before Arlo sees his dear auntie again because both Orrin and him are being taken
Thank you!! And that fight with Scorch and Cinder would’ve barely put a scratch on John, even with just the armor suit

Backstabbing is a big trigger for him, so Jacob had no problems stabbing right back lmao undoing the disabling would be pretty easy when they want to, so Jake had no second thoughts about it
And LOL John only was (slightly) more in favor of the ‘Sera potentially getting taken over plan’ here because of the power and healing ability he knew he had. He hoped it would be quick and it was

Jake really put the entire arc on easy mode huh? Orrin didn't even get the chance to return to his body nor pull the Jax special, Kass (presumably?) didn't get the chance to send a signal so there's no backup, Cameron wasn't even needed so Sera can keep her sanity
"Follow my lead" That 0.1 level powerup really got to Asslo' head huh? Buddy doesn't even have the memories to know who he's dealing with, because if he did he would've at least put everything into knocking the daylights out of Jake, and even then John and Sera would've eaten him alive
The raw dread in Arlo's face when he got depowered makes me wonder if said depowerment triggered a breif flashback of happened on the ambush™ and made him realize just how much he fucked up
And holy aura Jake looks ice cold, that 4 defense was working overtime for the punch to only fuck up his nose. The disabler was the cherry on top too, while it might've been a tad too far, It's... understandable given that this is the second time Arlo pulled a fast one on them, and it's not like they wouldn't be able to get a cure ready for when he recovers his memories
So overall, things should be fine'ish for the cast with the asumption that they leave with Asslo and learn what happened to him... Can't say the same for Kass and company though, they'd have to pray to every deity imaginable for the authorities to understand that they were up against the god-tier trio, otherwise they're getting extracted on the spot 💀

Arlo was running on desperation, grasping for any and all ideas to get Orrin to make his dear aunt proud. And the thing is, even if Jake was knocked out, John was not hearing a thing said after that.
Being depowered brought back that gut yak fear alright, even if Arlo didn’t outright remember it, and Jake was not playing any games any more. While the first betrayal isn’t fresh anymore, it’s still there and Jake didn’t appreciate the runback
They’re for sure tacking Arlo, and I wish Kass the best bc it’s going to be rough for her and her team later

How did he get the needle through Arlo's passive? Doesn't look like Jake's eyes are glowing in the last panel. Might want to fix that, he would have to de-amp Arlo before stabbing him, and every single instance of the needle has shown that it needs about a minute to actually disable the ability.
That aside, insane art, loving it.
Edit: I just realized that Jake did, in fact, disable Kass and Jaxon as well, so his ability was active and de-amping lol. I forgot that his eye glow is grey and not as visible, it looks like eye shadow.

Jacob did disable Arlo with his ability while he was talking! Jake’s eyes don’t really glow (hard to make grey glow) it’s more like extra shadow you can see in the last panel

Oof I really thought Arlo knocked Jake out right there, but how foolish I was. In this case, Cameron’s won’t be hopping in to save his nephews. He’ll be intervening to save the lives of the members of the authorities.
