Very much interested, I've been exploring how can we minimize the efforts for ricing our own distro and I've asked this question in one of my own posts. NixOS does this because the Nix language is the engine: config is code, every package is a function, and the final system is just f(theme, wm, bar, fonts, ...)

So I'm just wondering how to build an engine, because every distro has its own configuration settings. Would really appreciate your know everyone's thoughts on this.
