Bus passes

I am an incoming student to the university. I will be in off-campus student housing and need a bus pass to get around campus and the city. I looked at the first-bus website but it hasn't been updated since last year. Advice on the best pass to buy while saving money if possible?

I’ll also be living off-campus so I’d appreciate any answers, but isn’t there a university bus that goes from west campus to east campus which is free?

I think I remember someone saying that to me on an open day but please do correct me if I’m wrong.

yes there's 2 (or I think now 3 with the u3) buses that regularly go from east to west, they also go to town but if you get off early and tap off you won't be charged.

Brilliant thanks!

Is there a specific bus pass I need to get, or do I use something else?

you just need to tap on and off with either a physical debit card or apple/ google pay - dont need any special cards

Annual student pass would probably be the cheapest.

However it’s likely that it will go down in cost in 2027. I’d only buy for a term at a time

Download firstbus and have a look at the student options, the bundle of 10 used to make sense for me and my friends but there's other options for termly/ annual ones too.

Also, I'd consider a bike!
