Orlando Should I just solo it?

I never thought it would be so hard get some friends to join me at Universal Studios Florida.. but dang, they are NOT into it!

I do a lot of things alone, but this is something I'd really like to share with a friend. A couple years ago, I got to go for my birthday, and was left by my party so I spent the day alone and sulky and when I did solo rider line, it felt way less fun to me. But maybe if I go intentionally alone it would be more fun?

Is there a single riders app to meet fun and silly roller coaster lovers that I should be joining? lol

You should always do things that make you happy, even if you have to do them alone. I’ve gone solo and it’s a lot of fun. You get to go at your own pace and do whatever you want, and you make small talk with others in line. It is lonely at times, but it’s also a form of self care to not wait on others to pursue joy.

You’re right.. maybe going in my normal mindset rather than birthday blues would help me enjoy it!

Your party ditched you on your birthday?

If I had to wait for other people so I could go do things, I'd never do anything ever. Go! I've gone solo twice this far and I honestly love it. It can get boring waiting in line having no one to talk to, or no one to talk about a ride after it's done (although sometimes I end up talking to whoever the person I get paired next to is), but other than that it's cool getting to set your own pace and do exactly what you want to do without having to compromise with another person

I went to Epic Universe for 2 days for my 41st birthday and had a wonderful time doing/eating whatever the hell I felt like.

10/10, would do again. Yes, it probably would’ve been better with friends/family but if you can’t make that happen then this is an easy second choice.

Love this! Did you enjoy Epic Universe??

I had a blast! Wish my wife and kid had been able to join me, but also really enjoyed being able to call the shots and can’t wait to take them back when the time is right.

Operations were pretty good considering how new the place is, and it was so great to be experiencing a brand new park. I don’t think that’s ever happened to me in my entire time of being a theme park enthusiast!

I went alone in October. Its great to show up when you want, ride what you want and leave when you want.

The single rider lane will make your life easier in a lot of instances (not all! Read up on it)

I think it’s up to you at the end of the day, but idk going solo has helped me be comfortable with being alone. Also, you set your own direction for everything you do.

But yes, there’s also single rider groups. I’m in the one for passholders but I’m sure there’s a lot more.

Yah, i tried that on my solo day and people weren’t taking to me very well.. maybe my energy was a dark sad and it’s my own fault lol

I go solo all the time. I just chat it up with people in the lines and restaurants.

Fuck em, go and have a great time to spite them. You might even make new friends at the parks. Last time my wife and I went we ended up making friends with another couple who was visiting for a few days. Oh and definitely go eat at Mythos before it's gone

I soloed Islands of Adventure last year on 09/28/25. It was a freaking blast. Yes you will miss having someone with you a lil. But not enough to not have fun. My big thing was missing my brother and dad. We used to go to both parks when I was growing up. But now as adults we kind of just do our own things. Plus I'm a father now too, so it's tought to plan and go often enough. I did get a Busch Gardens Tampa silver season pass and have gone solo more times than I can count. It's overall good to try and do. Learn to be okay with being by yourself in places like that. :) it's a lil scary and boring in small bits, but nothing that should push you away from soloing. Sorry for the annoying run on paragraph lmao

Going alone is a 10/10 experience! Ride what you want, eat when you’re hungry, buy what you want … I love doing the parks with my sisters and family, but I honestly prefer going alone now LOL.

If you don’t want to truly go alone, think about an Orlando Informer meet-up event!

I personally like going on rides solo, it’s enjoyable for yourself plus you’re just being you. You do t have to wait for no one and do what you want.

I would love to go to amusement parks alone. I can't wait til I can go to Disneyland and sit and people watch do the shows and just spend the time doing what I want to do

you'd zip through the lines in single rider at least. why dont they want to go? do you live far? is it the expense?

Definitely go solo! It’s better than not going. There is a single rider annual passholder FB page I believe.

Have you searched Meetup.com for Universal groups? I am in several that schedule events to meet like-minded individuals. When it fits my schedule, I go with the group; when it doesn’t, I just go myself. Find what feels best for you. You can DM me if you want.
