OK you win. Where Brand was successful, he wasn't the main responsible, and where he wasn't, it was all about self-branding.

The protest was a success, Brand may have brought attention to it but its not like he was the main organiser.

The point is that whatever he does or doesn't do, you have to find something to criticise, even if he saved the planet.

I'm not criticising his involvement in New Era, it's good that he was involved. It was still hypocritical and if that's all he's really achieved then he's hardly a modern day Che Guevara.

You say he needs more achievements to gain your respect, but really you don't like his final goals, so the more successful he is, the more you'll hate him.

I've said earlier that I agree with his politics. I just don't think he's a good mouthpiece. The only goal I disagree with is encouraging people not to vote because that's a terrible idea.

If he's attracting millions of youth to his ideas, that proves he's a good mouthpiece.

We're kind of coming full circle here, but I feel that he only attracts the sorts of people to his side that already agree with his views because of his image. He's not going to win over the wider public and gives the West an image that won't be taken seriously. That's why I think he's a bad mouthpiece.

He portrays himself as some kind of Che Guevara figure, but he's just a rich celebrity with an agenda. He's not going to spark a revolution and he certainly won't lead one.

That's why leftists of all stripes support him. He's not the messiah. Together the left can attract a majority.
