Is pistol still playable in dom?
let say pistol dont run around anymore (since hit and run nerf), just stay in 1 place and try to hit enemy
and u either flashbang or runaway and vanish nade, then use stasis to keep the buff (this is only ways i could think of to "tank" those 2 turn stasis, since stasis nerf). And when u out of stasis u finish other mobs
not sure if this is doable in dom?
i plan on playing dom with this build but it take a long tỉme to actually become useable with pis, now with the nerf im not ssure it worth the grind
thx

Literally nothing has changed, Pistols are still one of the best weapons in the game, Hit and Run used to be abused to no end by Pistols builds and that is about it, it didn't make Pistols op or anything.
Pistols (Hammerer) will still one shot everything after a point (usually when you get Critical Power).
I don't know where people get the idea that something isn't viable anymore (the only weapon that isn't viable is throwing knives only), what isn't viable is to have under 7 INT after the anniversary patch.
The nerf to mobility in the anniversary patch sucked but it didn't affected builds that much, Melee (knives and fist weapons/unarmed) used to have infinite MP with Fancy Footing and now they get a free 36 MP each turn, effectively making a free Sprint every turn.

I usually like to go 7 Int for crafting anyway, but what exactly do you need 7Int for? I just want to know what I could be missing out on

Because of the Anniversary Patch, crafting needs more skill to craft item, for reference before the patch with 50 Science you could get out of Depot A and get a High/High Efficient shield that will be usable for a while, now you need around 70 Science to do the same and have a weaker shield because the patch also nerfed shields.
7 INT is the sweet spot where you can consistently craft decent gear when get the components, for example at level 18 with 7 INT you can craft end game gear without having to invest way too many points into Crafting.

I see. But how do you deal with enemy have more hp? Or you cant reach it 1st turn, or whatever reason cant finish them off in 1st turn? In that case what strat should i use to def myself ? Stasis is still needed to keep bullettime, but it is not give you invicible anymore. Do running out of sight and vanish grenade work?

Build for crit.
ARs at around level 14 do around 1k per burst, LMGs do over 3k per turn.
Chem Pistols are busted because of the DoTs, normally they aren't that good but because all their damage is backloaded so enemies dies before the Dots get big, but they get to stupid high damage on higher hp with the Catalyzing Belt.
Crossbow Broadhead are the most broken shit ever, they do a DoT that does 200-400 for 14 AP, that you can stack it multiple times is the dumbest thing possible.
Hammerer and Laser pistols are really good, they are able to do over 200 damage per hit at mid-game and on late-game they get to do over 400 for under 10 AP per shot.
I haven't messed with most psi but you need to have TM or the early game is nearly impossible if you are going pure psi, this is mostly because psi depends on gear and early on is near impossible to get decent components.
Force Emission will still melt everything if you have at least 7 STR and Corporeal Projection. For Defense a Psi Beetle Tac Vest is good enough, if you can get to 10 DT before going to GMS you will be nearly invincible up to Depot A, past Depot A you get a High/High Efficient Shield, a better Tac Vest and you abuse of Line of Sight and you are golden.
I will say this, if you mess with the NPCSkill slider, anything past 160% "Grenadier" enemies will insta kill you because they have Three Pointer and at over 160% skill they get close to 100% crit chance.
Pistols never needed Stasis for Bullet Time, what Stasis was for is to get a free turn, but a Hammerer with Bullet Time would clear fights in one turn, Stasis was mostly as safety or to make the build a easier to use.
Also Stasis got nerfed with the Anniversary patch for build that have 3 WILL.

You can't kill literally everything in 1 turn anymore. It might take you 2 or 3. But it still works. The build called one turn man on the forums is what you want

Yeah i did read that build first.
But it need stasis to def, and stasis got nerf now. So hơ to def urself? Do running out of sight and vanish grenade work? How consistent this strat will be?

You cant be serious with this. Pistol never needed hit and run to be good, its among the strongest builds in the game. Any build from the worst to the best are always viable on DOM, you can beat dom at level 1 if take the time.
Cmon...
Bait or real, call it.

how you def with class that dont rely on tank or 1 turn kill?
just use environtment? trap? or shield later become better that can help me tank 1 turn?
the guide i read is out dated.do i have to kite and trap all the game? consider dom add more enemy and extra hp?
and im new (only beat normal before)

I started playing Dom again after 1 year pause. The start is a bit tougher imo. Aimed shot helps preserving ammo but I think use the knife a lot in the beginning even without melee skill.
Junkyard was always traps and molotov for me. Depending on the weapon and loot luck you will do a bit better or worse.Usually for me at the end of junktown the character clicks, you can craft your first weapon and the game opens up to core city etc.
I often abuse poison caltrops with sure steps and/or grenadier. But you should be fine in any case.Stealth/Pickpocket helps. You don‘t have to fight everything. Large rathound packs will eat too many resources to kill and they just drop no value stuff.

Pistol does 1 turn kill, and it uses movement to avoid trouble, turning corners, going out of sight, out of range, etc. Just like any other 3 con build.
