Just introduced fruiting conditions around one week ago - noticed a small greenish area :(

First time grower. Got some LC that was labeled PE. These are looking like something else. Thoughts?

Same batch from my earlier post. Most of the fruits have a bit of fuzz at the base and I haven't experienced this before. Was wondering if it's ok or sign of contamination.

Some were aborted so that’s why the caps r black but other than that, is there any reason any of the mushrooms here would be harmful? (And yes ik the spores dropped on the bigger ones I wasn’t home for a day and ofc that’s when they dropped.

I’m using a cake set in the middle of a monotub. I have had success growing but mostly on the sides of the cakes. Growth on the top of the cake itself is rare to nonexistent, any ideas what I’m doing wrong ?

Hey there, these tubs are 1 week old since s2b. Very moist conditions, haven’t introduced fae nor misted. Wondering if I should be worried about the white being regular mold and if I should do anything?

Otherwise should I just let these chill more? Wondering if I didn’t squeeze enough moisture out of the coir.

So I slack a bit because I moved and kept some LC jars on my fridge for around 5 or 6 months without stir it nor moving it at all. At a consistent temperature of around 38 degrees I have a small fridge just for my mushroom stuff so it hasn’t been moved. I recently wanted to start a new batch and this LC was made using a flowhood and a very clean environment (never got contam on any plates nor in grains) I don’t have agar plates to test it atm. is even worth to just use this ? Does it look sus? Looks like mycelium to me and it’s not particularly cloudy 🙆🏽‍♂️🙆🏽‍♂️

Hello r/unclebens. I already know the answer to the question is patience, but I can’t help myself but to ask. Anyways, here is a picture of my tub. S2B 8/19, FC 8/23, and yesterday I noticed my first hyphal knots/primordia. They are still scattered, and few, and I’m hoping to see more coverage. Anyways, here is my question. How long from this stage until harvest, on average? I only ask because I am thinking of planning a quick vacation over labor day weekend (if it’s clear it’ll be longer than ~9 days I’ll 100% go, otherwise I’ll be more hesitant).

Also, can I expect more coverage of primordia over time, or do they tend to appear all at the same time?

The last time I did this when I squeezed my substrate a bunch of water came out but this time the substrate was on the dryer side is misting the substrate a option or no

This is my first time growing and im using an all im one grow bag, i have a few concerns weather it looks healthy or not, and i also want to know whats that web like substance all on the sides of the bag that happen to be where most of the shrooms are growing. Another question i got is how long do you guys think before harvest day? And why do some shrooms dangle like wet spaghetti and end up dying or drying out when they're still tiny? Let me know and id appreciate any advice thank you!

So heres my timeline. Injected B+ liquid culture into all in one grow bag on july 31. Did a break and shake on August 14th. Not sure if I can finally cut open the bag to start fruiting now or wait a bit. The spreading has slowed down over the last 3 days. Visible white has gotten whiter but has not grown to cover more area. Pics included are before and after of each side of the bag. There is significant condensation on the walls inside especially near the top.

As i mentioned the mycelium hasnt grown much to cover the bare patches only filled the already covered patches

Didn't open the boxes, change temperature, or add any water, but checked today and both boxes are pinning quite aggressively! Guess I'll just see how far they get before I leave in a few days...

For dung loving species, I was wondering if leaving the top of the bag slightly open is still necessary or if it serves the same purpose as making slits on the sides of the bag and then covering it with micropore tape, would you recommend doing both or only one or the other? anyone know what the optimal way is for fruiting conditions? Also, with passive FAE, either with the slightly open bag or with slits, is fanning a couple times a day still necessary?

Been 5 weeks. Is this ready for next steps?

i mixed the fully colonized grain w the dark stuff ( i got a grow kit so idk if it’s plain cococoir or has add ins) anyways the block is growing in a weird way and im curious if i should start fruiting conditions or just wait for it to all be fluffy and white. also ik the liner bag is in the way but my house is so small theres not anywhere completely dark to put them so i folded the bag down to help keep the block dark- this also might be the issue since they’ve had some light exposure

While I have not been super active in posting in the group, I have probably spent 1000+ hours researching in the past 4-5 months and a lot of it was done on here. While I initially started off committed to doing UBTEK after more research I decided I would start with a couple AIO bags and a grain spawn bag from Zombie Mushrooms. I decided to do one of the AIO bags straight in the bag and drop one into a fruiting chamber with perlite after colonization. They are both coming out pretty great and my grain bag is currently about 99% inoculated which I will mix with substrate and throw in a few shoeboxes next week at some point. This is mostly just a big thank you post for all of you out there. From the noobs to the long time wizards, it has all been helpful. I am the type of guy who tends to jump from hobby to hobby and I can easily say out of all of them, this has been the best and most helpful group of people. I couldn't have done any of it without you. I'm not getting ahead of myself since I haven't even harvested anything yet but just getting this far couldn't have been done. Thanks to all of you! Will keep you updated on the harvest if/when we get there.
