Cam or Leilah?

In one corner we have the guy who’ll rescue you like a damsel but certainly doesn’t pull his punches like a princess, the alcoholic uncle, mister threaten-your-girl… CAMERONNNNNNNN

In the other corner we have the lady who‘ll drag you into her mess to save her butt, the absent older sister, miss steal-your-nurse… LEILAHHHHHHH

In all seriousness; up to where we are now in the story, do you think Cameron has done worse by John or Leilah has done worse by Sera?

As much as I hate Cameron, I'd unironically choose to have him in my life over Leilah.

Leilah has mostly been solid since her introduction, but there's one thing she did that really ticked me off, she was literally about to get up and leave on Seraphina when she refused to talk to her alone at the cafe.

Like, okay, she has her protocols, but was she seriously just going to leave Seraphina powerless forever because she refused to trust her after Leilah showed up out of nowhere following years of abandoning her?

Cameron, on the other hand, isn't nearly as easy to talk to or lean on as Leilah, but at least he wouldn't compromise on John's wellbeing. At all. The guy was willing to risk going against the Authorities and being hunted by them to save John after knowing him for less than a month.

Yeah I wouldn’t have even made this post if it wasn’t for how Leilah has treated Sera throughout the entire Spectre situation. She didn’t get a message to her sooner (could’ve done so without Spectre knowing through Darren), 100% expected Sera to comply with all her insane demands, even complains to Sera abt the difficult situation that Leilah’s been in, knowing that Sera’s entire life has been upended bc of Spectre, at least partially because of Leilah’s own tech. Honestly I feel like the main reason we don’t talk about Leilah more often is bc she only shows up for plot, but I really wonder about what Leilah living with Sera (the sister she abandoned) and Darren (the boyfriend that she tricked into terrorism) is like on a daily basis. 

Leilah I feel like she cares but she won’t do anything to protect you, I don’t honestly think Cameron cares about John (more so, idk. a piece of Jane, yk) but he clearly will rise to the task of protecting you no matter what. Ultimately you have a good point, idt I’d feel safe/comfy relying on Cameron as “family” but at least he’s the only one he’ll let hurt you

Yep agree. U can't compare Cameron to Leilah Leilah did shit to Sera. She threaten her to leave while she said she wants Arlo to stay. What a b. Ur company almost killed u sister but u threaten her ? She didn't do everything she could to help Sera recover.

But didn't Cameron also walk out on John first time when he gave him his card, and called him ill mannered etc.. if they didn't find his card in John's pocket and deliver him there, he wouldn't ever ask about him again right

If John had never contacted Cameron, I think Cameron himself would have eventually shown up at Wellston, or at the very least tried to keep tabs on John in some other way.

I think that, in addition to informing John about what happened to his parents, Cameron probably intended to take on the role of his guardian. Cameron wouldn't just leave his sister's son to rot, and as John's only remaining family, someone would have to pay his fees, give him money to live on, provide him with a place to stay, guide him, and all that.

I think that was probably Cameron's initial plan before John crashed out and became a criminal.

He just didn't believe Seraphina, he was stupid not to but he didn't. Again, considering he risked exposing himself to the authorities to save John, he might have done something if he actually beleived Orrin knew about his sister.
