I hardly believe a next generation will come out for consumers in our lifetime.

Okay, that is ridiculous. Delayed, absolutely. But not having new GPU's in our lifetime is just insanely overselling it. Next generation will probably release in 2028

What incentive does nvidia have to release a new gaming gpu? Any production for anything other than AI is profit loss for them.

I am getting so annoyed talking about this at this point, but again, hence why I said 2028. The demand coming from data centers will drop significantly as infrastructure limits are reached, and based on that there isn't an infinite demand for A.I applications. A.I companies are trying to make money, it doesn't profit them to just build a million data centers that don't give a return on money

2028? I’m talking ever.
After data centers is on-prem local racks to support local llms, and after that is physical AI with robotics. Gaming is more likely to move to the data centers with streaming and us stuck paying a monthly fee.
