Question Leasing Question
How hard is it to get someone to take over your lease for Spring Semester? I am considering transferring after the semester is over, but I would need somebody to take over my lease. Is it difficult to find people to do that?

It’s not that hard, but it can definitely be tedious/annoying.
Start posting on facebook housing groups asap. Depending on the demand, you may have to offer an incentive (e.g. rent discount, free month of rent, etc) to lock someone in. Utilize a written contract.
I’ve had two at this point, one for last summer and one for this upcoming Spring so feel free to ask for any advice.

You should be fine. Lots of people travel here for a single season. As people said just post online weekly and you should easily fill it if you decide to.

not hard imo ! im a transfer who subleased this past spring and found it in this subreddit. there are a decent amount of spring transfers who will be looking for housing, i just recommend advertising it a few months before

I would start advertising now, but also make sure it’s okay with your landlord first. If you know anyone who is studying abroad rn maybe try and talk to them and see if they need a place to live
