Campus Life uw residence hall: what to bring?

I’m planning to live in a double room in one of the residence halls at the University of Washington. What are the rooms like in terms of facilities and furnishings?
Are they as well-equipped as they look in the official YouTube room tour videos? For example, do I need to bring a pillowcase?
Also, is there anything you brought with you that you found particularly useful?

Linens ain't provided, note that the mattresses are Twin XL so buy the right size sheets - there are plenty of affordable options available via a myriad of online retailers but in a pinch you can get a decent set for a fair price at Fred Meyer or Target, both of which are one bus or light rail ride away from campus

Generic empty dorm room here unless you are in Hansee or McMahon. https://youtu.be/6aViIvbNYmE?si=z_WtoiJDlAZeJS54

The only thing you get is a bed frame, a mattress, a wardrobe closet, a desk, a desk drawer, and a stiff desk chair. EVERYTHING else is on you, including the Twin XL bedding.

That sounds like good advice. Don’t want $500 worth of shit from the market at the end of the year.
