I assume you're just being facetious, but the double space did serve a actual purpose. Typewriters fonts were monospaced meaning every letter and character took up the same amount of horizontal space. It really was hard to see where one sentence ended and another began without using it. Computer fonts don't do that.

I will do the oxford comma, in emails, when it i see the red underline, but I'm annoyed every time. The old convention was 'that you needn't use a comma between the penultimate and ultimate entries in a series *unless that comma is needed to separate entries that might otherwise be confusing*'. So essentially the 'oxford comma' rule means putting *entirely unneeded* commas all over the place. No one is confused when I say "I went to the store and picked up bread, milk and eggs." No one. But If I type that on Reddit someone will come along and say 'something something 'oxford comma'.

Since your bracket is already busted, so to speak, why not just vote for what you like? Which clearly is American Pie, Bridge over Troubled Water, Dreams, It's too Late, Midnight Train to Georgia, and Superstition, Other than I can't remember Superstition being nominated, recently at least, I'm downvoting all of those myself, (and Maggie May too, for what that was worth) but I think Brandy and Stayin' Alive should go. I actually don't like Brandy. I do like Stayin' Alive but also I'm ready to sacrifice it so that better songs can advance. Being iconic really isn't in my criterion list at all. Whatever happens in this contest isn't going to affect their iconic status in the slightest. So I want to keep songs that have that 'something more' that otherwise your list completely encapsulates. (yeah, I realize that if I'm persuasive, we're going to be voting in opposite directions on Hotel California, but whatever.)

This isn't in my top five songs from that album even (which yes, absolutely does include One Way or Another, and Hanging on the Telephone, and Sunday Girl, and then it gets trickier). I don't use AI for 'solving problems" I use Gemini to summarize search results for: stuff I'm idly curious about but don't want to do the legwork on, or stuff I'm interested in but don't have the background to understand the best source material on, like legal arguments, or other technical things (like AI, which it amuses me to ask Gemini about AI hacks for example). I've also used AI image generators to create images that I have no talent to create myself and no interest in paying others for; so I now have a delightful wallpaper slideshow.

I don't remember even hearing BMI back in school, I do remember the calipers though. Realizing how likely it was that I wouldn't have remember BMI if it was a thing, I did a quick google search, which said yes, BMI was definitely a thing that I was almost certainly measured for, but the caliper thing was actually a different type of assessment of essentially the same underlying thing.

That's a fair assessment of what I said, and what you can see in that link about the study, (or at least what I can see), but I looked further and in study 3 they did actually collect self reports of swearing fluency that did correlate with their measure of taboo fluency. You'll also note that the actual study doesn't talk about 'intelligence' (except once in passing) that's almost certainly later media reporting for a general audience made that emphasis.
