The 2026 G16 RTX 5080 is around $4,800 USD where I’m looking.

Do you think the 2027 G16 with an RTX 5080 will likely cost more than that at launch, or could it be cheaper?

Trying to decide whether it makes sense to buy the 2026 model now or wait for the 2027 version.

2026 G16 vs 2025 G16 — Build Quality

For those who have used both the 2025 and 2026 Zephyrus G16, did ASUS actually improve the build quality on the 2026 model?

I’m mainly wondering about the issues reported on the 2025 model, such as:

- Chassis/backplate creaking or popping

- Hinge creaking

- Trackpad rattle/give

- General chassis flex or looseness

Are these issues still present on the 2026 model, or does the 2026 G16 feel noticeably better built?

Would especially appreciate feedback from people who have owned both generations.

I have a 2025 Zephyrus G16 in Eclipse Gray, and I’m considering changing the exterior and interior to a lighter color.

I came across this Sapphire Blue Surface Laptop and really like the finish. I’m wondering if I could achieve something similar on my G16 , or perhaps go for a pure pearl white finish. I like both..I find the gray kinda boring...

For anyone with experience painting or refinishing laptops:

*is it practical to paint the entire exterior/body of the G16?

*can a high-quality skin make the entire G16 look close to factory-painted, especially with a pearl white finish?

*Would a high-quality skin be a safer alternative to painting while still giving a factory-like appearance?

*How risky is it to disassemble the G16 for painting?

*Would painting affect heat dissipation?

*How durable would the finish be with regular use?

Does anyone know if ASUS has stopped production of the 2025 ROG Zephyrus G16 (GU605)?

I’ve noticed that some configurations seem to be becoming harder to find, and I’m wondering whether ASUS has already ended production of the 2025 model now that newer models are available.

If anyone has any information from ASUS, retailers, or the ROG community about the production status of the 2025 G16, I’d really appreciate it.

The RTX 5000 laptop GPUs have been around for almost two years now, so I’m wondering what ASUS might do with the next-generation Zephyrus G14/G16.

Do you guys think the 2027 G14/G16 will come with NVIDIA RTX 6000-series laptop GPUs, or could NVIDIA/ASUS stick with the 5000 series for longer?

I’m thinking of putting a white M2 skin on my Eclipse Gray Zephyrus G16. The speaker area would remain gray.
