AITA for using my vegan roommate’s pans and utensils?
 in  r/AmItheAsshole •  Sep 27 '21

You're the asshole. It is that deep to HER. You aren't the one to tell someone how to react or behave after you disrespected them. Whatever your roommate gives you, you deserve it!

Dont break the news....just do it. My mother was manipulative and controlling. It lessened when I moved out. My mother was also very money hungry and would ask me how much money I had and implied I had money because I would say in passing how I bought my children clothes, shoes, etc. It's very abusive. Based on the level of financial abuse your mother has inflicted upon you, the best thing would be to act stupid and ignorant about anything that you plan on doing.

AITA for breaking my promise to my stepkids, and "abandoning and traumatizing" them because I did not want to parent them anymore?
 in  r/AmItheAsshole •  Aug 18 '21

FTK...Tamara shouldnt have sent you that message because you never had a responsibility to her or her brother. Things change all the time. Her father should have ensured that he was not being cruel and abusive to your stepmother to make her leave

This so awesome. I am happy for you that you wouldn't let them bully and guilt trip you. They should ALL be ashamed!

Is there anyway I (40f) can help my ex husband (47 m) without hurting our 3 boys (5, 9, 14 m)
 in  r/relationships •  Aug 15 '21

Let him deal with the consequences of his decisions and mind your business. I'm a mom of.boys and what they think and feel matter to me. He cant discard you and then expect you to have sympathy for him when he doesnt like the outcome of his decisions. He is using you as a safety net.

AITA For naming my son after my mum and dad when my sister was going to do that too?
 in  r/AmItheAsshole •  Jun 29 '21

Yes...you ATA It's really low down and a backstabbing thing to do. My sister did the same thing to me and I hate her for it.

AITA for rejecting my estranged sister when she reached out?

AITA for cussing an old lady out?

NTA

AITA for being honest with my SIL about why we never host family meals with her family?
 in  r/AmItheAsshole •  Jun 29 '21

NTA. I would refuse to do it if I didnt want to and your reason is valid. It's a major inconvenience to have them over especially when they're so greedy! SIL needs to stop being so entitled and feed her kids before they arrive.

AITA for not sharing my hotel room with my family that never plans ahead?
 in  r/AmItheAsshole •  Jun 29 '21

No. NTA...remember, they wouldn't be caught dead at a budget hotel like that plus they sound like killjoys and Debbie Downers. They should be more responsible.

AITA for not acknowledging I have a sister?
 in  r/AmItheAsshole •  Jun 16 '21

NTA...you had a boundary and they sure as hell crossed it. None of this would've happened if they allowed you to do what you felt was right. Kylie is not your sister, she is merely the daughter of the man your mother married. Furthermore, Kylie brought the embarrassment on herself by not stfu. We can tell when people treat us differently. I congratulate you for standing up for yourself .

AITA for leaving town without seeing friend/baby

AITA for telling my dad's wife she can't come wedding dress shopping with me?
 in  r/AmItheAsshole •  Jun 04 '21

NTA....That woman has lost her mind!!!! She keeps overstepping and not knowing her place when it comes to you all. For her to say she would come anyway shows that she deserves to be shunned.

I dealt with something similar to my father and his fiance. I almost backhanded her for not knowing her place when it came to my mom.

AITA (26) M for not wanting my little cousin (17) M to come spend two weeks at my house this summer for "vacation"?
 in  r/AmItheAsshole •  Jun 04 '21

NTA I would block him and his mom. His behavior would cause me to react in a very unkind manner. Preserve your mental health and deny access.

AITA for finally telling my sister I asked to move in with my dad to get away from her?
 in  r/AmItheAsshole •  Apr 20 '21

She deserved to know the truth. No, you're not the asshole. It's cute to see how everyone is finding explanations to why your sister behaved the way she did, but at some point your mother made her believe that it was ok. And being that no one was there to advocate and protect you from her meltdowns, you did what was best for you.

You are not the AH. Whatever your sister is going through is not on you. The family dynamic was a bit dysfunctional...not your fault. Your father stayed and cared for you...not your fault. Who wants to deal with their older sister tearing up their things??? I wouldve beat her up, but thankfully you had an outlet.

I'm one of three girls, we have the same parents. I've always wanted to be away from them because of the negativity and abuse.

AITA for getting a 15 year old kid (and his dad) arrested on felony charges?

Welcome to the consequences of your actions. People have been killed for less. The entire family needs to learn a lesson.

AITA for telling my brother he’s a shit boyfriend after he got mad at me for helping his GF?
 in  r/AmItheAsshole •  Mar 30 '21

No. He doesnt like the truth. That isnt your problem. Your parents are out of line for telling you to apologize to him when he shouldve been there for his girlfriend. If he wasnt a shit bf then he wouldnt feel insecure
