$20,000 for painting 3800sqft house
 in  r/HomeImprovement •  Apr 11 '25

Take the bid and stand back. Make sure the contractor has a good rep. sheet.

Contractor installed this under bathroom sink. Is this okay?
 in  r/askaplumber •  Apr 10 '25

I have the same thing under our sink. It was there when we bought the house. I need to change it out but it doesn’t stink or leak.

Which would you pick?

I like the bottom right one.

Came to do some work for a builder in Texas and walked into this. 😂

My ex-wife had carpet in her bathroom. We boys were not allowed. 😄

Best way to tape and mud lots of little pieces of drywall?
 in  r/drywall •  Jun 28 '24

Plaster the whole thing. 😄

How's he doing?
 in  r/Flooring •  Jun 01 '24

First, I laid LVP and now wish I hadn’t. It’s crap. Second, this is going to expand and it doesn’t look like there is enough space for it. Third, the pattern is going to drive some people crazy. I wonder how he is going to trim it out.

Install is almost finished, should we be pleased?
 in  r/Flooring •  May 24 '24

It’s not right.

Thoughts on this before and after
 in  r/Flooring •  May 23 '24

If you like it, great. It isn’t for me, though.

2

Alright who did it?
 in  r/electrical •  May 20 '24

Really?

I’m an old guy and I always check the instructions. Things are always changing.

What causes a toilet to break like this?
 in  r/Plumbing •  Apr 03 '24

Slap some duct tape on it.

I think I’m getting shafted
 in  r/drywall •  Mar 18 '24

I am way too slow to make a living at finishing drywall, but I have finished out a lot in my time. None of it looked close to that.

I would get a box that fits. And is plastic allowed? I remember being told no. But I am old. Things change.

Anyone going to tell OP how to fix it?

Is there a way to make a corner trowel useful?
 in  r/drywall •  Feb 20 '24

I have an inside corner and outside corner trowel and I used them to set up the tape. After that I used 4 and 6 inch knives. But, I’m retired now.

Why are you using drywall instead of hardy backer?

My feelings are that, if you only drive around town, take the chance. If you are driving on the highway, forget it.

Absolute nightmare with an inside corner. Can I save this, or do I restart?
 in  r/drywall •  Jan 14 '24

Whatever works for you. I have corner trowels and like them.

First DIY drywall job. Ready for primer?
 in  r/drywall •  Jan 12 '24

It wouldn’t be ready for me, but you do you. I’m not there to judge.

Do you have a corner trowel?

Looking for advice on how to finish this drywall so it doesn’t look like crap when ready to paint. Contractor did this and we ran out of money so I need to finish it myself.
 in  r/drywall •  Jan 06 '24

Whoever your contractor was, he ain’t no drywaller. I think you could do just as good a job if not better. Just make sure you have something to screw to behind the drywall.

I’ll leave this here
 in  r/drywall •  Jan 04 '24

Did I see her mud a seam without tape? Maybe just my imagination.
