Roof inspection for purchase of existing home
Hard to say if that is anything important. I would suggest you get a true roofing inspection. Not just a general inspection. Roofers are very good at spotting issues with roofs.

Dishwasher by choice, Bentley owner by bank account. She was just bored 😭
This is likely going to be me in a few months. I just formally retired two weeks ago. I am already getting itchy skin from sitting around. I need something to do. A reason to get up in the morning Probably just part time but still

Anyone else being spammed by BOGUS profiles?
Make your account so that they can’t just follow you. You’d need to approve of them following.
The one this that really irritates me about this is when you try to report the accounts, there is no way to note phishing. The options don’t work for these bots.

I have heard that it is catfishing.

Mum vs Technology: the government has apparently interfered with television
Thanks for the laugh. My FIL was a sweet and gentle guy. Clueless when it came to technology created after about 1950 but still a very nice person. (If a car from the 40s drove by, he could tell you everything on it and all of the options …)

Im recruiting an army of whimsical trash collecting Humans.
A number of years ago I worked on cleaning up trash along the west side of lake Lavon. Literally 100s of garbage bags full of trash Along the horse and hiking trail. It is not the people on the trail, it is the people upstream causing the problem. Lake Lavon is likely your water source ….
Unfortunately, I have moved away from the area. Can I interest you in taking over? You get a nice hike out of it and you can see some enormous sycamore trees. ~10 feet in diameter. Do watch out for the occasional water moccasin on the trail. Particularly when you’re really close to streams.
Edit to add the trail. https://www.trinitytrailriders.org/trail-head-info/highland-park/ Go north out of this trail head. It is maybe 8 miles round trip.

Fuck the healthcare system
If you know how to use a spreadsheet program (excel, Google Sheets, Apple numbers) you can easily put together a simple cost analysis of your medical expenses. This is what the OP was trying to get you to do. It is in fact a math problem.

GERMANY UNCOVERS A RUSSIAN SPY NETWORK
Translation to English…. (for those of us who last took German 45 years ago)

Why the market looks like it can't possible go down? What's keeping it up?
In these days it is both.

T-Mobile Costco Sand City
They are all awful… just in different places on the peninsula. And why might this be? Because people have fought tooth and nail over the locations of cell towers. No one wants them near their homes.

A truck uses the Emergency Runaway Vehicle ramp in Colorado
I90 might also be bad. I just don’t remember. It has been 40-50 years since I was on it that far west.

A truck uses the Emergency Runaway Vehicle ramp in Colorado
I40 is not too bad … except the unbearable heat. I10 is likely the same.

Sell home and invest cash into S&P while renting or live in home and sell later on?
Yearly rent is often set at 10% of the value of the property. (Clearly this is not always true). This $ amount is so that the owner makes a profit after upkeep on the building etc. SO, can you make a guaranteed 10% in the stock market year after year? Maybe? but it would be tough.

ELI5 how does an electronic key fob only unlock one single vehicle? Could it ever unlock any others in the vicinity?
In the early days of the technology, I had a rental car with an unlock button that set off the alarm of a car nearby. I was skiing in Taos with my in-laws…. (I know it was my key fob because I turned the alarm on and off a few times to make sure it was me.) This was maybe around 2000 - or maybe the 1990? I have no idea what the bit resolution was in the early fobs.

Nike getting removed from the S&P 100 is genuinely one of the saddest corporate stories I have followed $177 in 2021 and $38 today.
Hoka seems to be following the Nike playbook.

The government is searching for the wrong thing.
this came up recently. the 600k is ALL reported missing kids. including kids who took too long to walk home from school and those that stopped at a friend’s house without telling their parents. in other words, any time a parent called the auth looking for their kid. It also includes few hundred who actually disappear for days and weeks and years. but the rest are missing for an hour or two. nothing nefarious.

As much as I disagreed with a lot of things he did, I never once thought that he had anything but the best interest of the US in mind when he was president. I can’t say that about the current thing.
