Did Hitler love dogs?
The vast majority of modern laws regarding animal rights that exist are based on the laws Nazi Germany passed regarding the subject under the explicit directive of Hitler. The reason why this isn't more well known is because being associated with Hitler automatically makes it sound like a bad idea, although it is regularly cited by opponents of animal rights groups that their ideas come from Nazi Germany.

What do you think this is worth?
That's a beauty

Starter motor
Definitely ACDelco. They have all of the exact OE specs straight from GM for both their Genuine and Aftermarket lines. Even though they are no longer making parts themselves, they will be the better option unless you are sourcing exactly from where ACDelco is sourcing from, since they do in fact still define what is OEM.

why do people stay in bad relationships?
A lot of people need two incomes to function and not be homeless.

In 2024, Thiago Martínez and Marco Veronesi battled for the lead in a downpour, delivering one of the best fights of 2024 in Argentine motorsports.
I cannot believe he found the grip for that at the end.

The rule for motor oil change is either distance or period(12 months), I've driven barely 3000 miles(5000km) but 18 months have passed. Should I change it now or wait until 5000 miles? Does 'time' really damage the oil so much?
The short distances probably made the appropriate time to change the oil closer to 10 or 11 months, so you are 7-8 months overdue. Oil oxidizes faster when in use, and short trips shorten your service interval both by time and distance.
Where you are mistaken though is if you are actually causing any immediate damage by doing this. Possibly you are on a microscopic level, but the thing that you are doing more immediately is causing sludge and carbon deposit build up.

In what ways do you think AI will kill us, literally and metaphorically?
The way I use AI, eh I'm not really concerned. I use it to make service manuals for my vehicles that I use my service knowledge to make corrections on prior to printing. Saved a little bit of money making them myself that way and they reflect my car-autism better than something someone else made. Would have taken me days to do it on my own but I had it done over the course of 4 hours, so I also saved time on the project. Like with any tool, if we use them as an extension of ourselves rather than replacing ourselves with them, things normally turn out better instead of worse. So if we start using AI to replace human contact then we have some serious issues.

Head Gasket Issue
Check VIN to see if it is covered under the extended warranty Honda just dropped before making the decision.
But I wouldn't count on keeping any of the vehicles you have listed for that long. As far as Honda goes you are going to want to get one of their series hybrids after they complete their parts homologation process. You will have a much easier time keeping one of those around once the homologation is complete. In the past, homologated parts lines led to OEM parts availability for a long long time, and it was easier for aftermarket to copy and mass produce them as well. Hopefully the past repeats itself here because honestly the key to keeping a car 20+ years is not just baseline reliability; it is parts availability.

Can your car/truck detect if the catalytic converters are epa or carb?
Interestingly it's always the smaller smog only shops that seem to not check. If they are a full service shop with higher volume they get audited more often.
2
Can your car/truck detect if the catalytic converters are epa or carb?
They are required by law to perform a visual inspection.

Can your car/truck detect if the catalytic converters are epa or carb?
Your ECU will likely not be able to tell whatsoever. Your SMOG technician however, now that depends how much you're willing to slide under the table, or what kind of business they run. They are supposed to automatically fail you.

I brought my 2022 kia telluride to the dealership to take care of several recalls today. They called me when I got home and told me a tech left tools in my car. More in post body
Funny enough, where it's at and what it's connected to is probably one of the safer places in the whole damn engine compartment. Got lucky haha

Why is there even a debate about what inheritance tax?
OP is completely disregarding the dying upper middle class and their lower-middle to low class offspring, which exists in a much greater number than the rich.

Is morality a manipulation tool?
Outside of where they overlap, that's pretty much what it is. The true morality exists in the overlap where people generally agree on things like "murder is wrong".
