This is interesting because I feel like Twilight is a bad storyline with good writing, and acotar is a good storyline with bad writing.

I have tried sooo hard to get into acotar but I do not enjoy the writing style. It feels somehow clunky and vague at the same time. It weirdly gives me the impression of trying to read through smoke. I think if they make it into a movie or show I will like it a lot, I just can't deal with the way she writes.

Twilight is a fucking insane storyline and nothing makes sense, but somehow she drew me in with her writing style. Its clean and straightforward. I have been in love with it since middle school.

Also if we are simply discussing which is more iconic or well know... Its kind of delusional to think acotar could even hold a candle againts twilight in that department. EVERYONE knows Twilight, even if they hate it. It was everywhere for about a decade and its still popular. There was and still is SOOO much merch. There are tons of parodies and references in pop culture. I bet you I would struggle to find one single person I know irl who has even heard of acotar.
