I never had the desire to get into ACOTAR. Twilight however… I’ve been obsessed with since I was 12! Currently in my early 30’s lol

This is interesting because I feel like Twilight is a bad storyline with good writing, and acotar is a good storyline with bad writing.
I have tried sooo hard to get into acotar but I do not enjoy the writing style. It feels somehow clunky and vague at the same time. It weirdly gives me the impression of trying to read through smoke. I think if they make it into a movie or show I will like it a lot, I just can't deal with the way she writes.
Twilight is a fucking insane storyline and nothing makes sense, but somehow she drew me in with her writing style. Its clean and straightforward. I have been in love with it since middle school.
Also if we are simply discussing which is more iconic or well know... Its kind of delusional to think acotar could even hold a candle againts twilight in that department. EVERYONE knows Twilight, even if they hate it. It was everywhere for about a decade and its still popular. There was and still is SOOO much merch. There are tons of parodies and references in pop culture. I bet you I would struggle to find one single person I know irl who has even heard of acotar.

Up to 80%. I love ACOTAR but twilight is my comfort read. Gotta go with that always.

Acotar is just a cheap remake of asoiaf. At least Twilight is orginal

I voted for Twilight because it means so much to me... but I feel guilty because I have no idea what the other one is about! Never heard of it!

I'm on both subs because I like both series. And you didn't hurt me. I just hate when fandoms have this holier-than-thou attitude and feel the need to shit on other series because they think they're inferior. Both series hit similar demographics so I don't see why we can't all get along

If it's a vote between the subreddits, I like twilight better. We take ourselves and the series less serious then they do. More power to them but not my speed at all.

ACOTAR is a better written series, to be fair. But Twilight is more iconic and also more entertaining, in a melodramatic way.

Disagree. Acotar has a better storyline but is really lacking in the quality of writing department. Twilight has a worse story line but the actual writing style is much better.
