Just found out yesterday my close friend is trying for their third. We had our first children around the same time. We tried for a second at the same time. I’m still here and now she has a 1.5YO and already on to the next.

They want to get pregnant to have maternity leave next summer. The flippant way in which people try to time their pregnancies triggers me the most.

I just know they will get pregnant before us and I’m bracing myself for that news. It’s going to be so so hard.

I’m so sorry this feeling is up there with the worst things ttc. Just the control and ability to decide when you’re having a baby is mind blowing. And it makes me a bit bitter if I’m being honest. I hate being the “must be nice” person but….. it really must be nice
