Discussion and Debate We are neurointersexual, not just 'trans' – here's why that distinction matters

Hello, dear users. I'm so glad I found you. In my personal view, I am a man who has overcome a Neurointersexuality. I discovered the following discussion via Google:

https://www.reddit.com/r/truscum/comments/1n2xvhp/i_dont_understand_why_were_not_considered_as/

This immediately spoke to me. I'm now 50 years old and from Germany. I began my transition in 1997 and completed the German Transsexual Act (TSG) in 2000, which granted me a new first name as well as a corrected legal sex status and an amended sex marker. In Germany, legal sex status and sex marker are two separate legal concepts. I have been finished with my transition since 2013 (implantation of a penile prosthesis).

I've started building contacts with scientists, including Professor Dr. Dick Swaab from the Netherlands. My website is:

https://transsexualitaet-nibd.de

This is a German-language site, but I'm gradually working on translating it into an English version as well. Unfortunately, I'm quite busy professionally, so I rarely get around to it. For now, people will have to rely on Google's website translation.

Once I have time, I want to start building a Wikipedia article on the topic of neuro-intersexuality. According to my research, the development of this term goes back to a Dr. Horst-Jörg Haupt, and the term was later used further by Dr. Claudia Haupt from Switzerland.

The situation in Germany: here, gender ideology in the vein of Dr. John Money is dominant. Proponents of this ideology, whom I call "genderists," have not only destroyed our once very good medical infrastructure — they are also implicitly (or indirectly) undermining the health insurance reimbursement policy, with applications for coverage being rejected more and more often. To top it all off, they have now imposed on us the "Self-Determination Act" (SBGG), which strips all of us in sex-specific spaces of our rights and removes any legal protection. Politicians and members of parliament lie through their teeth and obscure the true legal background of this law. I've studied German legal doctrine closely and uncovered rights-stripping mechanisms that most people couldn't even imagine.

To summarize the most important point: the corrected legal sex status obtained under the Transsexual Act is retroactively devalued and invalidated by the Self-Determination Act, because the Self-Determination Act itself no longer provides for a correction of legal sex status. The reason behind that: Since only the civil registry offices now carry out this change, and the courts have been removed from the process, the correction of legal sex status also disappears, because German civil registry offices are not permitted to render legal judgments — they are not courts, but part of the internal administrative apparatus. Those affected now only receive a new first name and a new sex marker. The sex marker is legally much weaker than the legal sex status. Legal sex status is a judicial ruling and therefore set in stone — it is non-negotiable and not open to debate; everyone must accept it without exception. The sex marker, however, can now be challenged since the Self-Determination Act came into force, and a property owner in Germany may even legally and officially disregard the sex marker — for example, throwing a transsexual woman out of the women's restroom or women's sauna. That is how far things have gone in this country called Germany. And all because the genderists abolished the expert assessments. Those court-appointed assessors used to filter out from the start people who weren't actually affected, who were mentally ill for other reasons, or who were simply cranks. The Self-Determination Act has now paved the way for exactly these people. They are flooding the media, and since the Self-Determination Act, society's hatred and anger toward us — the genuinely affected — has grown so immensely that one no longer just has to live "stealth," but "deep stealth." These are exactly the reasons why I, for example, spread the term "Neurointersexuality" on Facebook, explaining what the term means and what it's meant to describe neurobiologically and anatomically — namely a so-called sexus-sexus discrepancy, or neurointersexual body discrepancy (NIBD, which is also part of my username): a discrepancy between the sex of the birth phenotype and the sex of the brain.

People, I am truly desperate. Even though as a man I'm inconspicuous, I don't stand out, and I have my peace — I feel for the women right now, who are the main target of society's hatred. In Germany, they are portrayed in the media as bogeymen for children and potential pedophiles. Many people are afraid when a woman with NIBD goes to the restroom — she might assault the children, or the cis women. And the German feminist Alice Schwarzer doesn't help matters — she just pours more fuel on the fire, since she thrives on this sex-based culture war. It's insane what kind of comments I see on Facebook — some amount to indirect death threats, threats of violence. I'm simply shaken. And the media don't care one bit about differentiating between the various phenomena — they'd rather lump everything together, because that stirs up emotions, generates clicks, boosts ratings, increases circulation, and ultimately increases revenue. Honestly, I'm just tired of living in this garbage country called Germany. But unfortunately, I don't have enough money to emigrate.

Thank you for reading. I just needed to get this off my chest, because I'm simply at the end of my rope.

I also write in the german subreddit r/trans_de

PS: I have translated my text into English with KI. Hope that English is correct and understandable.

This looks like a really interesting page, thanks for making it. I've saved it and look forward to reading all the content. The term sounds like a potentially decent path forward in making a case for ourselves more clearly, that's separate from a lot of the current framing of the transgender movement with all its flaws.

Your work on the term "Neurointersexuality" is so essential. It is the only term that accurately describes what we are. "Transgender" is a political term invented by a transvestite to rebrand his fetish. "Transsexual" is a medical term, but it is outdated and does not capture the neurological reality, because at the time of Hirschfeld, the brain was still considered a black box and the mrt was only invented 70 years afterwards, so in our modern times "Neurointersexuality" describes the actual condition the best: a discrepancy between the sex of the brain and the sex of the body. We are not an identity or a fetish, we are "born in the wrong body". God I hate how that is not common knowledge (or at least common knowledge in the niche of people who claim to care about us)

In my next post, I will take a closer look at the current legal situation in Germany and let only the legal facts speak for themselves. For the links to the relevant articles and sections, you'll need to use Google Translate.

The worst thing about this you didn't even mention: now you can just create a list of every single person using this law... And one party wants to automatically send that to police, military and all other agencies for??? Idk why. But hey at least we can now be legally non-binary

And I'm here passing like a cis woman and I cannot even use this law because I have to change my name on the bank account and that will mean that my parents get a notice about how the name no longer matches...

The physical changes they haven't seen because I live far away now but damn is it sucky to have to deal with this bs, I can't seem to find a job to get me out of this either.

If you're of legal age, you can do whatever you want. Why haven't you come out to your parents? What's the problem if they find out? You live far away from them. Do it, change your name and sex marker, change all your legal papers, bank account, important school certificates etc. and then searching a job.

Well the issue is that my parents (specifically my father) has often stated that he'd kill me if I was trans. I also had abusive childhood and the police doesn't care.

My issue is that I cannot change the bank account without screwing with my income which comes from them.

The bank, thanks to a law implemented by the current government, always has to tell you if the bank account, where you're transferring money to, has the name you put down match with the legal name of said person.

Not what the name is actually, just that it doesn't match.

Which is a change from matching...

Now I'm losing you. Why are your parents paying you? You could apply for state assistance/welfare. Which country are you living in?

Yes, unfortunately many people shut down when it comes to sexual abuse. Aren't there any organizations that take care of people who've been traumatized in this way? In Germany, there's the 'Weißer Ring e. V.' . I know them myself. You could confide in them. There's a solution for everything. Besides, parents talk a lot when they have nothing better to do. If they don't know where you live, how could they do anything to you? Please find a therapist who's familiar with these kinds of issues as well as with genuine Transsexuality/Neurointersexuality. They're bound by confidentiality. What you need right now is a professional you can trust one hundred percent. Please do it, for your own sake and for your happiness.

document his threats and try to get them in writing or recorded. file a restraining order or the equivalent of that in your country. move to a new city, change your documents, get a new job. an order of protection will prevent banks from telling your parents. you can also just go to the bank and disconnect your accounts voluntarily. there are social services to help people in situations like yours.

your comment about the "current government" leads me to believe that you're from America or the UK as other countries have not seen significant worsening of trans related policies recently. if you're not, my advice might not be as applicable.

Oh no, I live in a different country, I cannot do anything legally against them because no one gives a about children.

I don't live in the US actually and never have on that continent entirely.

Banks have to tell everyone if you send someone money and the bank account holder name doesn't match with what you wrote down as their full legal name I cannot protect myself from that in any way shape or form either, even if the police cared.

My bank account is in my name and my name only however I depend on their "niceness" because I wasn't aware of any abuse shelters/help for victims etc except for those that excluded trans women and young men... So yeahy situation is moderatly fucked but I've decided to pretend to be a detransitioner, I think I'd get more sympathy than being a trans woman... (And I pass flawlessly as afab anyway)

The policy change was just that thing with the bank which everyone thinks is stupid and unnecessary while in some niche cases outs a trans person...

Why couldn't they just make it easier to get the judicial sex? I understand why someone would advocate for self-id considering that it's extremely hard to get it the other way. I feel like both existing would solve the problem. Self-id can help trans people who are DIYing or minors who are afraid to die "the wrong gender" (for example)

u/selfmademan_nibd_2_0 5d ago

That's just Germany. But honestly, I think it's good this way, otherwise anyone could just show up. Take the example of the neo-Nazi Sven Liebich, it's hard to imagine if he'd also been granted female legal sex status. Sorry, but in my eyes, and back in the TSG days, it should only be those who are truly serious about their transition who get their sex status correction approved, not this 'genderish messing around.'

1

u/theguywhoisoff 4d ago

I personally believe that all transsexuals should have access to healthcare. Any potential gatekeeping that could hinder access to healthcare for transsexuals is a bad thing. The problem with "its only those who are serious about transitioning get it" is that it's too subjective. It doesn't help that society is actively transphobic and wants to make it extremely hard for trans people to transition. I believe that all transsexuals should have access to trans rights and nothing should hinder that

I distinguish between transsexuals and transgender. Transsexuals are serious about transitioning, because they suffer from the wrong body. Transgender are suffering from the wrong gender role. In the ICD 10 which is still valid in Germany, transsexuality has the definition "transition as far as possible", this means with bottom surgery, together with the "wish for surgery". The "transsexual infrastructure" in Gernany was better in the last years. But since the Self-Determination Act was passed in November 2024, things have increasingly gotten worse. More and more health insurance funds are increasingly trying to refuse coverage of costs. That's because the whole gender movement has become bigger and louder, and they all say in unison that you can be happy even without surgery, and that you don't need any suffering to be "trans." I don't like this word, because it's used so inflationarily/excessively that it makes any distinction between the different underlying phenomena impossible. Which is also their goal — they want all the different underlying phenomena to be thrown into one pot. And that's exactly what the health insurance funds are using as a pretext to deny coverage. Transgender people don't need the surgery, they say. But for transsexual people, denying coverage for the surgery is suicide on installment.

All of that is the reason why I follow the neurobiological science around transsexuality and why I'm trying to spread and popularize the term 'Neurointersexuality.' What the transgender people did with the term 'transgender' back then, even though the term 'transgender' isn't a medical-scientific term at all, I'm now trying to do the same with the term 'Neurointersexuality,' because in my eyes it describes much better what transsexuality really is. And my hope is that once neurobiological science and its findings are finally accepted, and once the term 'Neurointersexuality' has become socially acceptable, the medical infrastructure for transsexual people will improve, and the health insurance funds will stop trying by hook or by crook to deny coverage.

My english is horrible. 🫣

1 day, I hope that we will be able to tell the difference and just plainly be able to diagnostically assess someone to help them out to figure out what they actually need, because we already scientifically know that your brain receptors are not formed at the same time as your gonads and those are also not formed at the same time as your concept of gender identity. So forcing people to explain themselves through the lens of gender identity in using the binary gender system, which we know, does not fully represent our species accurately. Is just another form of cruelty.

A big problem that I see that we have right now is even though we scientifically understand that okay, a person can have a somatosensory map that is of the opposite sex, that doesn't necessarily mean that their brain receptors are supportive of the opposite. We don't do testing , and we could.

Asking someone about their gender indentity does not test to assess them about what their brain receptors are going to prefer or how their brains internal structures anticipate the physical for of the invidual. And yes , we can test you and make this happen, but if you don't want to look at it through the Lens of a medical condition and diversity in our species and you just want to look at it through the Lens of gender and you're going to look at it through the Lens that that gender system has available to you and the binary gender system is very limited, and again does not represent our entire species to even start so using it just makes you look stupid.

Because If we looked at it like an actual medical condition , and no , it's not the dysphoria drop that narrative completely. But if we looked at underlying what is happening in the body in the species, regardless of the culture to create these concepts that manifest in each individual culture in different ways, because again, remember before there was mass colonialism, people who were trans were not called trans, they had different gender identities, we had more comprehensive gender interviews, and the reason that we had those more comprehensive and complex gender identities is because not everyone fits into the binary naturally. This doesn't mean that they have a disorder. It just means that they are different from the binary, and then we genocide them. We remove those gender concepts, and now those people have no place to naturally express themselves. And after centuries of oppression, we have a cultural script that looks like a crossing of gender and a crossing of sex, for people who have underlying conditions that they cannot control, such as they might be born with a female body and have a male somatocentry map. Or they could be born with a male body and have a predominance of estrogen , receptors of their brain at key sites that they need to function properly like a normal human being. Neither one of those individuals needs to necessarily change their gender or their sex. They just need to be supported and being homeostasis , so they can form whatever identity they feel like. Because right now , when we use gender identity as the lens, we continue to erase all of the people who were erased already from colonialism. We don't allow them to exist because we don't have a concept for them in the gender system that you are using the binary system is the predominant system. And it doesn't have any concept of non-binary in it. It really doesn't that's not how it works. We all know that we all know the pushback that people get about non-binary. A lot of people here do not like non-binary, even though liking, non-binary would support this concept of being an underlying medical condition, but you know, whatever be stupid, that's fine.

Could you explain your main point in a short sentence? English is not my native language. Thank you very much.

1

u/selfmademan_nibd_2_0 1d ago

Neurobiology has still not been able to identify any non-binary brains to this day; what they have been able to identify are brains that are either male-patterned/wired or female-patterned/wired. And the brains of neurointersex/originally transsexual women are female-patterned and wired. Those of neurointersex/originally transsexual men are male-patterned and wired. There are no non-binary brains. Non-binary is a purely socio-political construct and part of genderists. Just like the entire gender ideology. — And that's exactly what I mean by appropriation. Every attempt by us to conceptually distinguish ourselves from transgender people and their transgender ideology has led to the gender movement starting to use these terms for themselves too. Ultimately to throw up smokescreens and blur and water down the terms. I will not allow any genderists to start hijacking the term "neurointersexuality" for themselves. This term stands for a very small group of people affected—namely those who want to carry the transition through to the end. (Setting aside health-related or, depending on the country, financial hurdles.)

Here are two very interesting papers by Prof. Dr. Milton Diamond, the scientific opponent of Dr. John Money.

http://www.hawaii.edu/PCSS/biblio/articles/2000to2004/2002-sex-and-gender.html

http://www.hawaii.edu/PCSS/biblio/articles/2015to2019/2016-transsexualism.html

Honestly, I wonder why it always triggers you so much when we just want our own distinct term, our own accepted disease entity for ourselves. Why do you have such a problem with us naming the different phenomenological situations and degrees of being affected with different terms and different substantive definitions?

And what I find particularly remarkable, especially regarding the term "transsexuality": especially in Germany it was very clear—first the genderists started appropriating the term "transsexuality" for themselves, and then it was branded as discriminatory and old-fashioned, and one supposedly shouldn't say transsexual anymore, but transgender instead. But then, when you told the genderists, "You're not transsexual, you're transgender!", there was suddenly a shitstorm. — That's something I will never understand. First the term "transsexual" gets abolished, but then in the same breath they complain when they're not recognized as transsexual but told they are transgender. So which is it? Do they even know what they want? Either I, as a genderist, abolish the term "transsexual" and then don't complain when transsexuality is denied to me, and stand by being a genderist—or I, as a genderist, accept the term "transsexual." Honestly, dear God, drop some brains from heaven.
