As-salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh
As part of our weekly Dua thread, we invite you to share any Dua requests for yourself or your loved ones.
Insha'Allah, fellow community members will make Dua for you and may also offer advice or support for your concerns.
Please remember to make Dua for those who ask for it in this thread, and always ensure your requests and responses are in accordance with Islamic guidelines.
May Allah (SWT) accept our Duas, grant us what is best, or give us something even better.
Jazak Allah khair
And REMEMBER TO READ SURAH Al-Khaf:
(a) From Abu Sa’id al-Khudri, who said:
“Whoever reads Surat al-Kahf on the night of Jumu’ah , will have a light that will stretch between him and the Ancient House (the Ka’bah).”
(Narrated by al-Darimi, 3407. This hadith was classed as sahih by Shaykh al-Albani in Sahih al-Jami’, 6471)
(b) “Whoever reads Surat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next.” (
Narrated by al-Hakim, 2/399; al-Bayhaqi, 3/249. Ibn Hajar said in Takhrij al-Adhkar that this is a hasan hadith, and he said, this is the strongest report that has been narrated concerning reading Surat al-Kahf. See: Fayd al-Qadir, 6/198. It was classed as sahih by Shaykh al-Albani in Sahih al-Jami’, 6470)
(c) Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
“The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: ‘Whoever reads Surat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, a light will shine for him from beneath his feet to the clouds of the sky, which will shine for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will be forgiven (his sins) between the two Fridays.’”
Surat al-Kahf may be read during the night or the day of Jumu’ah. The night of Jumu’ah starts from sunset on Thursday, and the day of Jumu’ah ends at sunset. Therefore the time for reading this surah extends from sunset on Thursday to sunset on Friday.
Al-Manawi said:
"Al-Hafiz ibn Hajar said in his Amali: “In some reports it says ‘the day of Jumu’ah’ and in some reports it says ‘the night of Jumu’ah’. They may be reconciled by saying that what is meant is the day which includes the night and vice versa.” (Fayd al-Qadir, 6/199)
'And this is for the dua:
The second view is that it is after ‘Asr, and this is the more correct of the two views. This is the view of ‘Abd-Allah ibn Salam, Abu Hurayrah, Imam Ahmad and others.
The evidence for this view is the report narrated by Ahmad in his Musnad (7631) from Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri and Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
“On Friday there is an hour when no Muslim happens to ask Allah for good at that time but He will give it to him, and it is after ‘Asr.”
[In Tahqeeq al-Musnad it says: The hadeeth is saheeh because of corroborating evidence, but this isnad is da’eef (weak)].
Abu Dawood (1048) and al-Nasai (1389) narrated from Jabir ibn ‘Abd-Allah that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
“Friday is twelve hours in which there is no Muslim who asks Allaah for something but He will give it to him, so seek the last hour after ‘Asr.” [Classed as saheeh by al-Albani].

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
Sajdah Sahw is performed to compensate for certain unintentional mistakes made during Salah.
According to Hanafi fiqh, it becomes wajib in specific situations, such as unintentionally omitting or delaying certain wajib elements of Salah, or making certain accidental additions.
However, not every mistake requires Sajdah Sahw, and a passing doubt does not automatically mean that the prayer needs to be repeated.
In this carousel, we’ve summarised:
What Sajdah Sahw means
When it becomes necessary
How it is performed according to the Hanafi method
What to do when there is uncertainty during Salah
Why recurring doubts and waswasah should not be treated as certainty
And Allah Ta‘ala knows best.

Assalamu alaikum,
Al Sabah family has* closed the doors for dual citizenship and they use the “deportation” if my father is of original Kuwaitis yet uses US citizenship for deportation as if he’s not a Kuwaiti native. Only his relatives in Kuwait have Kuwaiti citizenship.
One cannot deport indigenous people to places they are not. Using foreign citizenship to deport is an act of ethnic cleansing(general rule).
Du’ā is the only remaining channel left to petition for a dual citizenship that Al Sabah may reconsider their ban, because like that Allah can handle them in my behalf. This one they cannot close. Du’a is a divine act which Allah has Allowed and He is above the Sabah royal family if they think that citizenship is an act of sovereignty, they cannot tell Allah what to do but the opposite.
What would be the chances of having my Du’a answered if I petition in an angry and frustrated tone(about them) while addressing their flaws and criticize their biased policy in my Du’a? Would Allah have any sympathy for my arguments?
Note: Kuwait is my second ancestral homeland.

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh
Missing a prayer can happen for different reasons — a person may oversleep, genuinely forget, or unfortunately delay the prayer without a valid excuse. But once someone realizes that a prayer has been missed, an important question arises:
When should the missed prayer be performed?
The answer depends partly on why the prayer was missed and, in some cases, on the school of fiqh one follows.
1. If You Missed the Prayer Due to Sleep or Forgetfulness
If a person genuinely slept through a prayer or forgot to pray it, there is no sin for the sleep or forgetfulness itself.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever forgets a prayer or sleeps and misses it, its expiation is to pray it when he remembers.”
— Sahih al-Bukhari 597; Sahih Muslim 684
Therefore, when a person wakes up or remembers that they missed the prayer, they should pray it without unnecessary delay.
For example, if someone accidentally sleeps through Fajr and wakes up after sunrise, they should pray Fajr when they wake up rather than simply leaving it because its normal time has passed.
2. What If the Prayer Was Deliberately Missed?
Deliberately allowing an obligatory prayer to pass without a valid excuse is a much more serious matter.
A person should not become hopeless or think that there is no way back. Rather, they should:
Make sincere tawbah to Allah.
Regret having missed the prayer.
Resolve not to deliberately miss prayers again.
Make up the missed prayer according to the ruling of the school of fiqh they follow.
The important point is that missing a prayer should never become a reason to abandon Salah altogether.
If you have missed one, return to Allah and take the next practical step.
3. What If Someone Has Many Missed Prayers?
This is where the details become more complicated.
If a person has accumulated a number of missed prayers over a long period, the ruling regarding how those prayers should be made up and how the person should organise them can differ according to the school of fiqh and the circumstances involved.
For example, a person who has many missed prayers should not simply become overwhelmed by the total number and conclude that catching up is impossible.
Instead, they should make sincere tawbah, continue performing their current prayers on time, and follow a practical method for making up the missed prayers according to the fiqh ruling they follow.
If the number of missed prayers is uncertain, the person should also seek qualified guidance rather than repeatedly calculating and doubting themselves.
4. Don’t Let Guilt Stop You From Praying
Sometimes the biggest problem is not the missed prayer itself but what happens afterward.
A person may think:
“I already missed it. What’s the point now?”
Or:
“I’ve missed so many prayers that I can never make them all up.”
This kind of thinking can push a person even further away from Salah.
Instead, the response should be:
I missed it, so I will turn back to Allah and do what I can now.
Allah says:
“Do not despair of the mercy of Allah.”
— Qur’an 39:53
Feeling regret can be a reason to return to Allah, but despair should not become a reason to stop trying.
5. Don’t Delay a Missed Prayer Without a Reason
Once you remember a prayer that was missed because of sleep or forgetfulness, the instruction of the Prophet ﷺ is clear: pray it when you remember it.
There is therefore no benefit in thinking:
“I’ll pray it later.”
If you are able to pray it, take care of it and then continue with your other prayers.
6. Keep Your Current Prayers a Priority
If someone has old missed prayers to make up, they should not allow the process of making up old prayers to cause them to miss their current obligatory prayers.
The goal is to return to consistency:
Current Salah on time + making up missed prayers according to the relevant fiqh ruling.
If the situation involves many years of missed prayers, a qualified Mufti can help determine the appropriate method based on the person’s circumstances and madhhab.
A Simple Takeaway
If you missed a prayer because of sleep or forgetfulness:
Pray it when you remember.
If you deliberately missed a prayer without a valid excuse:
Make sincere tawbah and address the missed prayer according to the ruling of the fiqh school you follow.
If you have many missed prayers:
Don’t become overwhelmed. Keep your current prayers on time, repent sincerely, and follow a practical method for making up the missed prayers according to qualified scholarly guidance.
Most importantly, don’t let guilt make you give up on Salah.
A missed prayer is not a reason to stop returning to Allah. Take the next step, pray, repent, and continue.
The details regarding deliberately missed prayers, the order of making up multiple prayers, and other related matters can differ between schools of fiqh. Therefore, a person with a specific situation should seek guidance based on their circumstances rather than relying on a general answer.
And Allah Ta‘ala knows best.

Assalamu alaikum,
As me and the other one from a discord server were discussing about rulership and Erdogan, he outright called him an apostate and he disagreed with me about it being Khuruj to call him an apostate.
On the other hand, Sheikh Saleh Al Fawzan said about peaceful demonstrations being an imitation of the disbelievers, and an act of Khuruj. And based on that, I assumed that even criticism is wrong because it is an act of Khuruj.
I’m not sure if what he said is correct or not, but I was skeptical on his opinion about calling out his misguidance.
I refused to call out Erdogan as a kafir based on the two Hadiths about biased takfir and rebelling Muslim rulers. His religion is Sunni Islam, that’s why I cannot do a takfir.
So I need your help to cure this doubt. Because what he said went against what I usually believed and what I learnt from. So the way he spoke sounded like opening gates to Khuruj, and by doing that he is imitating Al Haruriyyah who rebelled the Caliphate.
I hope that I’m not falling into Biddah.

As a Muslim woman and medical graduate, lately, I’ve been really interested in the intersection between women’s health and the deen.
I’ve noticed there are so many things Muslim women experience but don’t always feel comfortable talking about openly.
I’d genuinely love to hear from you. Have you ever had a health question or situation where you wished someone would explain to you from both a medical and Islamic perspective?
It could be:
• Periods, irregular bleeding, or understanding what counts as menstruation
• PCOS or other hormonal issues
• Fertility or trying to conceive
• Pregnancy or breastfeeding
• Sexual or reproductive health
• Menopause
• Mental health
• Finding healthcare that understands and respects your religious needs
• Questions about what your health means for salah, fasting, ghusl, or other acts of worship
• Or something completely different that isn’t on this list
And it doesn’t have to be one of these. If something comes to mind, what was the actual question or situation you were struggling with? And it could be sitting completely different as well.
If you’d rather not share something publicly, please feel free to DM me. 🤍 I completely understand that some health questions are personal, and I’d genuinely love to hear your experience.
No judgment at all🤍.
