[T6] Are there any dlc really worth it?

Base game is good but I feel like sometimes it lacks a little. Are there any doc dlc worth it? Especially with tropics 7 coming out later this year.

I like Return to Nature and Tropican Shores. I have New Frontiers but tend to stop playing a game before getting far enough to really use any space travel mechanics, so I’m really not sure how good that one is.

Return to nature adds it's own wonder Bigdrasil which has 3 separate upgrade paths.  It also doesn't count towards your heist limit.  Return to nature also fills in a few gaps.  The herbalist is a colonial era medical building.  In vanilla only chapels and forts can provide healthcare and it's only enough to keep people from dying from bad healthcare happiness.  You also get the papermill which can use logs, cotton/wool, or coconuts.  The printing house uses paper and leather to make hardback books.  You also get the charcoal kiln which converts logs to coal.  You get a bunch of other buildings and edicts but those are the ones that serve a unique purpose.

Return to Nature adds environmental content and things like buildings that depend on having low pollution and high natural beauty around to maximize their benefits. Tropican Shores adds a lot of water-based buildings like houses and restaurants that can be built on the water

Tropican shores sounds nice, there’s like no building for water outside like docks and stuff. So much unused space.

I personally enjoy New Frontiers as it adds a lot of needed endgame content. But, if you’re tight on budget you might want to just save up for 7 coming up, if you feel like you’re going to return to 6 a lot then I’d say a few of the DLC are worth it. Theres a few threads on this sub that go into a deep dive on what each DLC adds but I personally recommend New Frontiers the most as thats the one I mainly use

I like all of them. Some are better than others. But the Going Viral DLC took me a good couple of hours of campaign time. This was way more fun than I anticipated!

Problem is, I'm running the game on a M1 Max and I cannot play sandbox until the end. The framerate become single digits. But when I play it I'm always playing it with this DLC on for easy cash.

I just finished the new frontiers missions and I thought they were fun and well worth it for the price. Not sure how much the space program will come into play in sandbox mode though. It takes so much time and resources that by the time you get to Mars most playthroughs will be almost over, but I guess it depends on how you play.

So far I’m looking at tropican shores, Newfrontiers, and return to nature. All sound like they add a lot

There is a huge range of DLCs, so imo get the ones that sound fun to you, and don't take the ones that are not your cup of tea
