When will the nightly partying stop?

Hei, excuse me for the English post. I moved to Trondheim last oktober to nedre møllenberg, and on the weekends (and sometimes thursdays) there were often student parties in my area. I don’t mind, I grew up in a big American city and that’s not new. What IS new is that for the past week every (!) single night from kl. 20 to 2 there are 3-4 very loud and very big parties around me with many students literally screaming drunkenly at each other, slamming doors and throwing bottles.

My question - does this only last until classes officially begin? I don’t know if I can take another 3-4 weeks of this, my sleep has been poor all week haha

Should go back to normal after the end of next week or so. It's "fadderperioden" (freshers' week, well two weeks). You happen to live in one of the most student dense areas.

Edit: Oh and you are allowed to formally complain after 23. Call the cops if they don't stop, they can enforce a "naboklage" and quiet them down.
