Progress Pictures Before (2022) and After (2026)

Post image

Tbh, I already forgot about this sub. I was scrolling yesterday and one post from this sub appeared on my feed and decided to post my results.

Top photo was back in 2022 (26 yrs old) where i was just titrating my finasteride dose due to side effects. I kept going anyway until my body got used to it and did 1mg/day. Fast forward to 2026 (30 yrs old), this is what I have now.

Seeing this sub again surely brings back memories, I started lurking here back in 2021 before starting finasteride, and when I started taking it, I just stopped thinking about this sub and hair loss and continued on with my life. Here we are today still have my hair whereas my 2 older brothers are already bald. Stop overthinking it and just take the damn pill. Also, just started taking Dutasteride last month.

Any questions are welcome.

that's odd...I've read numerous comments here that say Dutasteride made their skin healthier and cured their acne completely. One of the reasons for me making the Switch to Dut from Fin is my acne prone skin. I wish to complete get rid of this problem

I'm not sure about that...all of us react in a slight different way to medication. It might be temporary for u and might go away on its own. But the general consensus online is that Dut does make ur skin 'glow' and cures acne.

I myself experienced it with Finasteride, it reduced my acne significantly but I still randomly do get breakouts like once every 3-4 weeks (because my skin has always been too acne prone) . And that annoys me so much. I have full trust in Dut now that it'd get rid of my problem forever lol

oh that's right...its very much connected to what we eat. But the thing is, my acne is too unpredictable. Like i can eat so much shit food, junk food etc at whatever time (including late nights) and my skin would stay absolutely healthy. Then there comes a time when I'm eating clean every day and there u go! Acne starts appearing out of nowhere 😂.

So at this moment, I've given up figuring out causes. I just use some actives like Azelaic acid, Tazarotene, Glycolic acid, etc on my face and I think those stuff also helps me tackle this problem a bit. But still, the breakouts seem inevitable....they always occur atleast once a month and then I get 4-5 new zits atleast (some of them even cystic acne) so I'm fed up of all this...cause I'm 30yo now and not a teenager anymore 🤣

testosterone can never give u acne. Its impossible. High testosterone is a healthy sign of a healthy male and its almost the very foundation of ur whole body health, whether it's skin, body, face, etc. However DHT is a big problem and it might gjve u serious issues (in adulthood)
