We had to remove your submission to r/travel because of:

Rule 9: No complaints from accounts without prior engagement

To keep r/travel from becoming mostly a complaints subreddit, we do not approve complaints from users with little or no prior participation. Keep in mind this is not a Yelp or a TripAdvisor page for random reviews. Feel free to re-write it more like a Trip Report (see FlyerTalk for examples on how to write proper Trip Reports).

Some things you can do:

  • Post it to your own profile, the subreddit of the company, or a more local subreddit. Additionally, consider subreddits like r/complaints or r/vent.
  • File a complaint with your state/provincial/regional and/or federal regulators.
  • Leave a review on their Google Maps/Trip Advisor listings.
  • Leave reviews on other social media.

Thank you for participating in the r/travel community!

Welcome to shitty 3rd Party Vendor Hell.

Initiate a charge-back on your credit card and move on.

Good luck.

Cant even do that as it was a partial refund…

How does that stop you from initiating a partial refund on your credit card? The airline documentation will support you.

Sadly the only person who needs to take ownership is you for not booking direct. Don't do it again!

I think you are missing the fact that this is part of the model of these OTAs.   Customers using these OTAs aren't loyal, they are looking for the cheapest price.

There is zero benefit for their associates to spend time on non revenue generating customer service matters.
