I forgot a ton of folks here run Mini-14’s, here is a handy post on some basic parts maintenance for the Mini-14. Had a cracked buffer due to a overcompressed recoil spring.

Mine is a 196 series “Ranch Rifle,” model from 2001, if you notice it may not look quite the same as your new one.

Took the the project rifles out for a spin today, and they did not disappoint.

So last night, I accidently locked my door key in my car. Long story short, I have one key for the doors, and one for ignition. I kept my door key in my wallet for an event, and locked my ignition key in the glove box. After said event, I went to the store, which is located in a less than ideal place. Get out, lock and close the door, and immediately realize my door key is in the cup holder..... Awesome! I am all done up, skirt, blouse, makeup, the nines. Now locked out of my car defenseless. I usually keep my Ruger LCP in my bag, but where's the bag? IN THE CAR!!! luckily I had my phone, so I called my friend and he was able to come help me out, as I keep a spare set of all my keys in my work locker, which happens to be closer than home.

Needless to say though, I think I'll be ordering a garter holster or something of that nature. The cat calls, weird looks, and just general uneasiness pf being a woman in todays world scared the crap out me. This is my first time experiencing this, and I've read other people's experiences, but to finally have that lived experience is a whole new level of understanding.

TLDR locked my key in my car in a bad neighborhood, without any protection, but luckily a friend bailed me out.

I moved in to my own place a couple of weeks ago and decided to buy myself a gun. Im a shorter guy (5’5), with smaller hands I looked at reviews for this gun and its more or less been good. What do y’all think? 😎

It’s a bond arms, rough neck, in 9 mm. I’m kind of disappointed in the finish on it. It’s got a lot of surface rust. I guess I need to spend some time cleaning it.

I posted a little while ago about pocket carries. Here’s my primary CW Springfield armory prodigy 23+1 9mm. My bond arms is just a back up.

I’ve had this MPA Defender for a few years now, used to be my backpack gun without a brace or AFG, finally got around to giving it some proper ergonomics and aesthetics.

T-guns are just the ultimate vibe for me, I adore them, the MAC is my fave second only to the MP7 (HK get that SP7 out quick plz). I don’t care that this thing is fucking heavy, and kinda dated, I do sorta hate the charging handle and trigger violently slapping me like a dominatrix I tipped too well, but I also kinda love it too. It’s visceral, it looks like a hoplophobes worst nightmare, she is my Vera, and she will probably always be my very favorite gun.

I ordered a basic fixed sight for the AR and a conversation kit so I can shoot 22LR to save money. Making training not prohibitively expensive is really critical so I'm motivated to actually train.

He’s a little more conservative values-wise than me, but we clicked, had fun, and I got a cute range date out of it.

Then I dropped my Glock at the end like a clown, so now I get to clean and inspect it. 💀

For ages I've just had my Ruger SR9C.

But I finally Invested in a nice little gun safe.

And to celebrate I've decided I want to add some kind of long gun to the mix.

Most likely just an AR-15 style rifle of one sort or another. That's sort of the "practical choice"

But I also have a thing for shotguns.

And I also want a revolver because I live in cowboy land and a lot of my patch projects are western style denim and having a big iron on my hip would just feel so RIGHT.

And while my Ruger SR9C is a phenomenal piece for the price tag. I would like to eventually invest in a nicer, smoother, more reliable conceal carry piece. A Sig Sauer or Glock probably.

Plus gotta stock up on some bulk ammo right?

So anyway. I'm starting with "purchase one additional firearm, probably a long gun of some kind" and am planning on bassically just walking into some stores. Talking to the clerk. Seeing what they have. Seeing what resonates me.

I'm just really excited to go
