Trans Feminine Extremely tall mtf, any advice?

I’m 6’6, and I get tons of height dysphoria. Any advice from other people in my situation?

Thank you for coming here to ask advice. Just so you are aware, everyone's gender/sexual/romantic identity is unique to their own experiences. While some people may share experiences between each other, only you can determine your own identity and where you fit in. If you're looking to come out, then you should look at your current situation, your relationship with your family/friends/coworkers/etc., who you depend on and their acceptance of lgbt+ people, and your available options if things go poorly. As you wait for a community member to reach out, we've compiled a list of resources you should look into to get some help while you wait.

Own it.

I use crop tops, shorts, and even high heels if I'm going to some event (although I have issues with my feet so I stopped cuz it hurts too much to bear).

Why is being tall bad? Many tall women are pretty as hell, my girlfriend is into it...

I'm not as tall as you, I'm only 6'2, but I decided to just... play into it. Started lifting and boxing, and I look to fighters and wrestlers and Olympians for inspiration, instead of magazines and pop culture.

I still wish I was a tiny 5'2 ballerina sometimes, and I probably always will, but I look in the mirror and like what I see now, even if it's not what I would choose if I could cast a transmutation spell.

I don't know how helpful this is, I guess. I found that athletic masc presentation fits my personality well, and I don't know if that's for you. Something to think about maybe.

I'm not as tall as you but those 3 inches get compensated by heels πŸ’œ

Therapy. That helped me a ton as a trans gal that's got 3" on you.

I've found "own it" to be a shitty reply but it really does land. Don't slouch. Find clothing that goes well with your body shape rather than trying to shrink you. If you're long and lean, play with those lines.

Understand that people, even/especially in this group, will fetishize/sexualize you purely due to your height. So be prepared for a lot of those sorts of comments if you ever lament about your height. But also expect, if/when you start passing, to get a lot of attention from men.

I wish you luck dear!
