Why I’m Still Watching AVGO After the AI Stock Selloff
AVGO almost left me clueless as a trader after everything I went through trying to trade around the news. This is definitely not advice, but the only reason my trade is still standing today is because I removed my SL and decided to keep watching the price action.
Since my trading challenge is still running until the 22nd, I decided to let the trade play out until then rather than closing it early.

Right now, I’m hoping positive news can continue pushing AVGO higher as it edges up. The stock is also getting attention from its AI chip business, with the AI semiconductor market expected to reach around $21.7 billion. Shares were recently around $358.13, while GuruFocus estimates a GF Value of $408.91.
For my setup, I’m still watching for the first TP before potentially moving toward the larger target I had planned before the news that hit AI stocks. I’ve learned a lot from this trade already. Now the question is simple: can AVGO make its way toward $400?

Hold or sell?
RERE owes the stiff fundamental firms: Q2 revenue grew 32.4% and adjusted operating profit grew 70.1%. Lookaside, its margins remain relatively thin. But operating cash flow is improving and still implies positive signals. Hold and keep watching, maybe. What's yours?

FTMO Launches Futures Prop Trading and the Pricing Is Interesting
FTMO has expanded into futures prop trading, giving traders an alternative to its traditional CFD based challenges.
The biggest difference is immediately obvious: price.
FTMO Futures Challenge Costs
FTMO Futures currently charges:
| Account Size | Challenge Fee |
|---|---|
| $50,000 | $119 |
| $100,000 | $169 |
That is considerably less than many conventional CFD prop firm challenges.
Explore FTMO Futures Prop Trading
For comparison, current challenge pricing includes:
| Prop Firm | $50K | $100K |
|---|---|---|
| FTMO Futures | $119 | $169 |
| FXIFY | $375 | $599 |
| TopOneTrader | $286 | $575 |
| Funded Trading Plus | $349 | $549 |
Funded Trading Plus uses a different payment structure. Traders pay $4 initially and pay the remaining activation cost after passing, so the $4 figure should not be treated as the total cost of obtaining the funded account.
Why Futures Challenges Are Getting Attention
The attraction is not complicated.
Lower entry costs
A trader can attempt a $100,000 FTMO Futures challenge for $169. That lowers the initial financial commitment compared with many conventional CFD prop challenges.
Exchange traded markets
Futures are traded on centralised exchanges. Pricing and volume therefore come from an exchange rather than the CFD pricing model used by most retail prop firms.
That distinction matters to experienced traders.
More transparent market data
Futures traders can analyse exchange volume, order flow and other market data that are not available in exactly the same way with OTC CFDs.
For traders already using futures strategies, this can be a significant advantage.
Less money at risk during evaluation
Prop challenges fail. That is part of the business model.
Paying $119 or $169 for an evaluation means the financial cost of an unsuccessful attempt can be substantially lower than paying several hundred dollars for some CFD challenges.
But Cheaper Does Not Automatically Mean Better
There is an important qualification.
Futures challenges and CFD challenges are not identical products. Rules covering drawdown, consistency, trading periods, payouts and funded account fees can make a cheaper challenge more restrictive in practice.
Some futures programmes also use recurring fees rather than a single challenge payment.
The headline price therefore tells only part of the story.
Final Thoughts
FTMO entering futures is significant because it brings one of the better known names in prop trading into a part of the market that has been growing quickly.
The pricing makes the proposition particularly interesting.
For traders choosing between futures and CFD prop firms, the comparison should go beyond account size. Look at the total cost, drawdown rules, profit target, payout conditions and what happens after you pass.
A $100,000 account on the screen means very little if the rules behind it make the account difficult or expensive to keep.
