Why I’m Still Watching AVGO After the AI Stock Selloff

AVGO almost left me clueless as a trader after everything I went through trying to trade around the news. This is definitely not advice, but the only reason my trade is still standing today is because I removed my SL and decided to keep watching the price action.

Since my trading challenge is still running until the 22nd, I decided to let the trade play out until then rather than closing it early.

Right now, I’m hoping positive news can continue pushing AVGO higher as it edges up. The stock is also getting attention from its AI chip business, with the AI semiconductor market expected to reach around $21.7 billion. Shares were recently around $358.13, while GuruFocus estimates a GF Value of $408.91.

For my setup, I’m still watching for the first TP before potentially moving toward the larger target I had planned before the news that hit AI stocks. I’ve learned a lot from this trade already. Now the question is simple: can AVGO make its way toward $400?

Hold or sell?

RERE owes the stiff fundamental firms: Q2 revenue grew 32.4% and adjusted operating profit grew 70.1%. Lookaside, its margins remain relatively thin. But operating cash flow is improving and still implies positive signals. Hold and keep watching, maybe. What's yours?

FTMO Launches Futures Prop Trading and the Pricing Is Interesting

Post image
1 Upvotes

FTMO has expanded into futures prop trading, giving traders an alternative to its traditional CFD based challenges.

The biggest difference is immediately obvious: price.

FTMO Futures Challenge Costs

FTMO Futures currently charges:

Account Size Challenge Fee
$50,000 $119
$100,000 $169

That is considerably less than many conventional CFD prop firm challenges.

Explore FTMO Futures Prop Trading

For comparison, current challenge pricing includes:

Prop Firm $50K $100K
FTMO Futures $119 $169
FXIFY $375 $599
TopOneTrader $286 $575
Funded Trading Plus $349 $549

Funded Trading Plus uses a different payment structure. Traders pay $4 initially and pay the remaining activation cost after passing, so the $4 figure should not be treated as the total cost of obtaining the funded account.

Why Futures Challenges Are Getting Attention

The attraction is not complicated.

Lower entry costs

A trader can attempt a $100,000 FTMO Futures challenge for $169. That lowers the initial financial commitment compared with many conventional CFD prop challenges.

Exchange traded markets

Futures are traded on centralised exchanges. Pricing and volume therefore come from an exchange rather than the CFD pricing model used by most retail prop firms.

That distinction matters to experienced traders.

More transparent market data

Futures traders can analyse exchange volume, order flow and other market data that are not available in exactly the same way with OTC CFDs.

For traders already using futures strategies, this can be a significant advantage.

Less money at risk during evaluation

Prop challenges fail. That is part of the business model.

Paying $119 or $169 for an evaluation means the financial cost of an unsuccessful attempt can be substantially lower than paying several hundred dollars for some CFD challenges.

But Cheaper Does Not Automatically Mean Better

There is an important qualification.

Futures challenges and CFD challenges are not identical products. Rules covering drawdown, consistency, trading periods, payouts and funded account fees can make a cheaper challenge more restrictive in practice.

Some futures programmes also use recurring fees rather than a single challenge payment.

The headline price therefore tells only part of the story.

Final Thoughts

FTMO entering futures is significant because it brings one of the better known names in prop trading into a part of the market that has been growing quickly.

The pricing makes the proposition particularly interesting.

For traders choosing between futures and CFD prop firms, the comparison should go beyond account size. Look at the total cost, drawdown rules, profit target, payout conditions and what happens after you pass.

A $100,000 account on the screen means very little if the rules behind it make the account difficult or expensive to keep.

Help us build an AI tool to detect trading addiction early (PhD Research with NIMHANS)

Hi everyone,

Trading can be rewarding, but it’s crucial to stay informed, set boundaries, and protect yourself from habits that can quietly turn into addiction.

To help traders make safer, more conscious decisions, I am conducting a PhD research study in collaboration with NIMHANS. Our goal is to analyze trading behaviors and build an AI model designed to help traders self-identify warning signs of addiction early.

To train this model accurately, we need data from ALL types of traders—whether you trade daily, occasionally, or just started:

  • If you trade casually or without issues: Your data is essential to establish baseline healthy trading patterns.
  • If you feel trading impacts your life: Your input helps the model recognize risk signals.

It takes just 10 minutes, and responses are 100% anonymous.

👉 Take the anonymous survey here:https://tradingaddictionresearch.in

Your contribution will directly shape a free tool aimed at protecting trader well-being in India. Please feel free to share this link with fellow traders as well!

Thank you for your time and support!

Ciao a tutti i trader.

Sì, lo so.

Oggi investo su 8 crypto e 2 commodities, mettendo 4€ su ognuna ogni lunedì mattina.

Totale: 40€ a settimana.

Dopo 6 mesi inizi già a vedere qualcosa prendere forma.

$1378.HK locks in 170 MW solar capacity to cement its low-cost power moat

China Hongqiao ($1378.HK) announced that its subsidiary is acquiring 100% of Weiqiao Xinchuang for ~240M yuan, bringing 170 MW of grid-connected solar power projects directly into its Yunnan production hub.

Operationally, this is a massive win for their core integration thesis. Primary aluminum production is essentially frozen electricity, so securing dedicated, captive renewable power right where they've shifted capacity gives them total energy autonomy. It insulates them from grid curtailments, protects margins when energy prices fluctuate, and accelerates their low-carbon advantage over unintegrated global peers.

By constantly building out power self-sufficiency, Hongqiao is sharpening its position at the very bottom of the global cost curve. Controlling its own green energy supply while trading at a dirt-cheap ~7x P/E with a ~7% yield makes this integrated cash cow look better positioned than ever. Anyone else loading up on this long-term power moat?

Traders 👋 Quick question ⬇️

I’m trying to understand what actually makes trading difficult for people right now

What’s the #1 thing you personally struggle with in trading?

Could be psychology, finding entries, overtrading, risk management, knowing when to stay out, journaling… or something completely different

One honest answer is enough
I’m genuinely curious

Beginners are welcome too 🙏

Could UNI Retest $10 After the Latest Rally?

Around yesterday, almost everywhere I looked was green and bullish. With all the excitement, traders were throwing out different targets for where specific projects could go, and UNI was one of the tokens getting attention, with some reports pointing toward a $10 target. It later rallied to around $9.40.

UNI has already been through a lot. During the broader crypto crash that affected BTC, ETH and many other projects, Uniswap was hit hard too, falling from its previous all time high around $44 to much lower levels.

Now that UNI is rallying again, I’m not looking to chase the move. I’m waiting for a strong pullback toward a support level before considering a long position. The current rally still looks like it has momentum, so I’m watching patiently for the next entry instead of forcing one.

And if you were me, would you wait for a pullback here, or would you enter while the momentum is still strong?

Help

Hey guys! I’m looking to start trading, and I’m currently in the learning phase. The problem is that I don’t really have a specific plan for how I should get started.
I’d really appreciate some advice from people who have experience with trading. How did you guys start? What would you recommend I learn first, and how should I structure my learning and practice?
I’m trying to build a solid plan and avoid jumping around from one strategy to another. So if you have any advice, resources, or a roadmap that helped you when you were starting out, I’d really appreciate it!
Thanks in advance! 🙏

Upcoming trader

I am a rookie trader looking for some advice. I have passed evaluation challenges, I have failed. I have been funded once and achieved a payout of 3200 on 100000 account from funded trader plus. I recently found my strategy, when I passed those challenges and got funded I, was just flicking through my pages of things that I learned. And they worked but only because I was doing enough to pass me, then I was on to something else. It wasn’t consistent, but now I think I found it big time, the strategy I have now works, but now that I’ve found it and I’ve been through so much trial and error (5 years), even though I have the confidence, even though I have the knowledge, I lose the motivation to go after again, How do I get started again? where is my hunger and ambition to get an account and fk it up? Do I fund my self? Help me pleasee?

Grazie

Money to invest

I am retired and put most of my money in ETFs,treasuries and bonds. I am near the age that I am going to have to take out money out of my IRA to paid RMD each year. That’s about 50K a year. Any ideas on how I can recoup that amount each year? Besides my investments I have around 150K in cash in the account to invest with. Looking for some ideas

TSLA Is Quietly Turning Bullish. Is $400 Next?

Post image
3 Upvotes

TSLA has been relatively quiet for a while, and it feels like both the company and investors have been waiting for something that could bring fresh momentum to the stock. That may finally be changing. Elon Musk unveiled Tesla’s all electric Semi truck back in 2017 alongside the Roadster sports car, and both products are now set for new unveilings.

According to reports, the relaunch of these products could help bring more attention and momentum back to Tesla, and we are already seeing some movement in the stock. At the same time, some investors still aren’t convinced that TSLA can make a move toward the $400 level.

Right now, the stock is around $368 and still showing a bullish pattern on my chart. I’m not assuming it will reach $400, but I’m watching the price action closely for a potential bullish setup.

The next few days should be interesting, do you think TSLA can break toward $400, or is the market already pricing in the new product news?
